A Russian drone flew to attack the port of Reni in Ukraine, but was hit by Ukrainian air defense (electronic warfare) and diverted to Romania (accidentally).

Nobody starts a war because of an accident, Romania ends this drama with this admission.

In the USA, the first unmanned mother ship for maritime drones has been launched.

The Marauder MUSV (Medium Unmanned Surface Vehicle) project was designed from scratch exclusively as an unmanned platform for autonomous operations in the open ocean. The ship was primarily created for the needs of the US Navy's "hybrid fleet" concept, especially for distributed operations in complex and contested waters such as the Indo-Pacific region.

The Marauder's deck is designed to accommodate standard maritime containers: either four 40-foot containers or eight 20-foot ISO containers. This allows the ship's purpose to be completely changed for a specific mission within a matter of hours.

Unlike many modern USVs, which are converted from civilian or manned boats, the Marauder initially has no accommodations for people (cabins, bridge, life support systems). This reduces its cost, simplifies the design, and dedicates all useful space to fuel and payload. The entire ecosystem is controlled by a single Saronic software stack with elements of AI and the ability to be controlled by an operator ("human-on-the-loop").

- Length: ~55 meters

- Maximum speed: over 46 km/h (>25 knots)

- Cruising speed: ~22 km/h (12 knots)

- Range: up to 10,000 kilometers (5,400 nautical miles)

- Cargo capacity: up to 150 tons
