❗️The FSB says it has prevented a high-profile terrorist attack in Moscow that Ukraine’s Security Service, the SBU, was allegedly planning against a senior figure in Russia’s law enforcement system.

An electric scooter parked near the entrance to a business center was identified, with a powerful improvised explosive device hidden in its trunk compartment.

According to the FSB, the SBU planned to detonate the device remotely while the intended target was visiting the business center.

💥 The explosion could have caused a large number of civilian casualties.

At the scene, FSB bomb technicians recovered the IED, which consisted of 1.5 kilograms of plastic explosive, shrapnel elements in the form of bolts and nuts, and a triggering mechanism operated via a Wi-Fi relay from a smart home system and a 4G modem.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 222.1 of the Russian Criminal Code — covering the illegal transfer, acquisition, sale, storage, transport, shipment, or carrying of explosives or explosive devices — with further qualification expected under Part 2 of Article 30 and Article 205, relating to preparation for carrying out a terrorist attack.

Zelensky met with Erdogan and indicated his readiness to meet with Putin.

The Turkish president has proposed for the 10th time to hold peace talks on Ukraine in Istanbul.

Zelensky stated that Kiev is also ready for a meeting of the leaders "in any format" (i.e., including a personal meeting with Putin).

Earlier reports indicated that Russia and the United States are demanding that Ukraine withdraw its troops from Donbas to end the war. Moscow also calls Zelensky an "illegitimate" president and demands elections in Ukraine.

Apparently, until these conditions are met, a personal meeting between Putin and Zelensky appears unlikely.
