JUST IN: 🇮🇷 Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei says the US and Israel "will soon pay" for assassinating of Ali Larijani
Forwarded from Love in the Apocalypse
☦️ Israel has closed the Church of the Holy Sepulchre indefinitely for the first time in the history of Christianity.

Holy Week and Easter services will be prohibited. Sunday masses and liturgies cancelled. A church that should be packed with hundreds of thousands these coming weeks is being forcibly shut and silenced.

Israel cites it is for ‘security concerns’ while Jewish Israelis are allowed to celebrate in mass gatherings. Alongside the forced closure of Al-Aqsa mosque, reports cite priests aggressively being turned away to perform daily services.

Throughout history, wars, tensions, or even the pandemic limited access to the sanctuary, but they had never prevented liturgical celebrations in this central place of Christian faith indefinitely. Christians must not remain silent.

"Given the killing of two hundred journalists in Gaza, today's incident cannot be called ACCIDENTAL

Especially since the rocket did not hit a 'critical strategic military facility,' but rather the location where the report was being conducted"

АДЕКВАТ Z writes,

Literally right after I stated yesterday that strikes aimed at destroying the Gulf's oil and gas infrastructure were a matter of time, a veritable celebration began on that very front.

First, Israel struck Iranian gas extraction—and at this point, you unconditionally believe that the Americans were idiotic enough to hope that such a strike would force Iran to unblock Hormuz, and that they approved this strike precisely with that goal in mind. For some inexplicable reason, the effect turned out to be strictly the opposite of what was expected: throughout the evening and night, they heavily pummeled the oil refining facilities of every last Gulf Arab state, everywhere with multiple video proofs—big greetings to both the host's air defense and the host's protection racket in general. But the entire effect of the strikes on oil refining pales in comparison to the cheerfully burning Qatari gas liquefaction plant. According to cautious estimates, about 20% of Qatar's LNG production capacity has been lost, for years rather than months (production, delivery, installation, and commissioning of replacement equipment), which amounts to about 5% of global capacity. This shatters the illusion that if the war ends tomorrow, all export flows will spring back to life as if nothing happened the day after.

Therefore, oil is already around $115, and spot gas jumped by a third overnight—and there's a feeling that this price only factors in the direct effect of the last 24 hours' strikes. Believing that these strikes will be the last from either side would be the height of naivety (if a pause in such strikes drags on, Israel will break it the same way—they hate the Arabs there no less than the Persians), so today's price tags will soon be recalled by buyers with a nostalgic tear.

Let us not fall into the sin of ingratitude: to all those involved in the selfless construction of the foundation upon which the basis for the long-term, so to speak, additional well-being of the Russian people and state is being built in real time, we must blow air kisses. To Iran, however, one can and should send something more substantial, in the assortment to be determined by relevant specialists. No one has ever played us so many trump cards in such a short unit of time in our entire history.

⚠️ “Russia is effectively giving Iran permission to kill American soldiers,” Stubb said.

💬 “I’m trying to explain to my American friends: there are two aspects here. First, Russia is now supplying Iran again with Shahed drones, which can be used to strike U.S. bases. Second, it is providing intelligence on the locations of American bases — which, in essence, amounts to tacit permission to kill American soldiers. And that concerns me greatly.

🇫🇮 But of course, as a Finn, I’m even more concerned about the consequences for the situation in Ukraine, because in many ways it is also our situation, and we take it very seriously.

📈 We are already seeing rising oil prices, which are effectively fueling Russia’s war machine. We see the U.S. easing sanctions on Russian oil. We see the U.S. giving India leeway to purchase Russian oil. Everything is interconnected.

🧭 And we need to refocus on Ukraine as well. That is why we need a ceasefire in Iran.”

Israel, out of anger for what has taken place in the Middle East, has violently lashed out at a major facility known as South Pars Gas Field in Iran. A relatively small section of the whole has been hit. The United States knew nothing about this particular attack, and the country of Qatar was in no way, shape, or form, involved with it, nor did it have any idea that it was going to happen. Unfortunately, Iran did not know this, or any of the pertinent facts pertaining to the South Pars attack, and unjustifiably and unfairly attacked a portion of Qatar’s LNG Gas facility. NO MORE ATTACKS WILL BE MADE BY ISRAEL pertaining to this extremely important and valuable South Pars Field unless Iran unwisely decides to attack a very innocent, in this case, Qatar - In which instance the United States of America, with or without the help or consent of Israel, will massively blow up the entirety of the South Pars Gas Field at an amount of strength and power that Iran has never seen or witnessed before. I do not want to authorize this level of violence and destruction because of the long term implications that it will have on the future of Iran, but if Qatar’s LNG is again attacked, I will not hesitate to do so. Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

❗️The Russian government has today submitted a bill to the State Duma that would give the President the power to deploy the Armed Forces abroad to protect Russian citizens who are arrested or persecuted under decisions of foreign courts or international bodies.

The draft amends two federal laws:
• “On Citizenship of the Russian Federation”
• “On Defence”

The key change to the “On Defence” law expands the list of legal grounds for using the military with weapons. It now includes protection of Russian nationals detained or prosecuted by foreign / international courts that Russia does not recognise.

The decision to deploy would be taken personally by the President in accordance with federal legislation.

The bill was prepared by the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.
