Ohhh…. a bit of an awkward moment at the Kennedy Center board meeting when Trump forces Speaker Johnson to talk about FL Rep. Neal Dunn’s illness.
Johnson: “I think it was a terminal diagnosis.”
Trump: “He would be dead by June.”
Johnson: “That wasn’t public, but yeah, okay.”
😂

🇮🇷Reports indicate that the Strait of Hormuz may have been partially mined by Iran.
On the other hand, the Pakistani oil tanker Karachi (Aframax oil tanker) passed through on March 15-16 with the Automatic Identification System operating openly, and it took a route close to Iranian waters, indicating the existence of monitored or safer corridors in the strait.

Forwarded from Geopolitics Prime | Iran War Updates
Donald Trump’s war on Iran has morphed into a full‑blown escalation trap with no easy exit.
Following the initial US and Israeli strikes on February 28, the strategy of doubling down on aggression has backfired, while Iran has pivoted to its greatest strength: a low-cost, high-impact asymmetric retaliation.
Iran has turned the Strait of Hormuz into a high-stakes chokepoint where geography and strategy strongly favor the defender.
These weapons are devastatingly cost-effective compared to the billions of dollars invested in a US carrier strike group.
If Trump were to start a ground invasion, Iran's geography transforms it into a natural fortress, shielded by the Zagros and Elburz mountain ranges.
These rugged terrains would strip invading forces of the speed and surprise that modern militaries rely on.
Any land operation would potentially snowball into a military quagmire all but certain to ignite US domestic fallout over casualties, oil-price shocks, and a new entanglement in the Middle East.

💢 ‘The US Achilles' heel is munitions, interceptors, and standoff missiles’
‘They don’t produce enough to maintain global hegemony’ — Mark Sleboda, international relations analyst
[ ❗️So then why why why, Vizini, is it so 'inconceivable' to you that the US also doesn't understand this, and has formed their policy around this very obvious and well known deficiency borne of declining relative US military power? This is the problem with liberal criticisms of power. They treat their 'insights' as unique and divorced from the reality of actual decision makers. It is a form of deceptive flattery towards the audience, the idea that decision makers are 'dumb', 'stupid' and 'operating without' these precious hidden liberal 'facts' - XF ]

🇮🇷 The U.S.-Israeli stand-off air-strike model of waging war is being challenged by a quite different strategic asymmetric war – one first planned by Iran more than 20 years ago.
This is important to understand when trying to judge where the war balance sheet truly lies. It is like comparing oranges with lemons; they are essentially different in character.
The U.S. and Israel are dropping a lot of stand-off munitions at Iran. But, to what point and to what effect? We don’t know.
We do, however, know that Iran has its asymmetric war plan. And it is only just starting, incrementally moving towards full implementation. The full armoury of Iranian missiles has not yet been revealed – neither its latest missiles, nor its submersible drones and anti-ship-equipped missile speed boats that have yet to be deployed. So we do not know Iran’s full potential – and we cannot say to what effect its full deployment might yet be.
The Iranians have a vote on when the war ends. And they say that they are just getting started.

“Whoever hears a man calling, ‘O Muslims!’ and does not respond is not a Muslim." So what kind of Islam is this?
Is Iran expected to stand idle while American bases in your countries are used to attack it? These are weak excuses. Today the confrontation is between America and Israel on one side, and Muslim Iran and the forces of resistance on the other. Which side are you on?

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Ukraine is not ready for negotiations, Russia will pursue its goals on the ground, - Lavrov
- The Foreign Minister repeated Putin's words and made a series of important statements on the Ukrainian conflict:
- The settlement of the conflict is impossible without solving the problem of the Nazi regime in Kiev, noted Lavrov.
- The main sponsors of the Kiev regime are Germany and the Baltic countries, Nazism is very much alive in European minds.
- The world community is not concerned about the issue of shipping in the Mediterranean, Baltic and Black Seas, Ukrainian terrorists are attacking tankers there.
- The French representative who came to Moscow for political contacts "didn't bring anything new".
- Paris itself "leaked" information about the visit of the French representative to Russia, although it had requested confidentiality.

President Trump: "I want Japan, China, and South Korea to help ensure the safety of the Strait of Hormuz"
Other statements by Trump:
▪️The US receives less than 1% of its oil from the Strait of Hormuz, while Japan receives about 95%, China - 90%, and South Korea - 35%;
▪️Many countries have already informed me that they are sending forces to the Strait of Hormuz: some do it with enthusiasm, others - not;
▪️"We would prefer not to get involved, sir," some countries say. I replied: "We have been protecting you for 40 years, and you don't want to participate even in such a small matter?"
▪️We will always protect our allies, but if we need help, they are unlikely to be there for us;
▪️I have long warned that the Strait of Hormuz would be used as a weapon;
▪️Since the beginning of the conflict, we have struck more than 7,000 targets in Iran, mainly military and commercial facilities;
▪️We have destroyed all Iranian ships intended for laying sea mines, but we don't know if they have already managed to lay mines;
▪️Iran doesn't have many missiles left
▪️Iran is now a "paper tiger". Two weeks ago, that wasn't the case, but it is now.
