✨ Meet our first Trainer for the online Advocacy CB series, Dr Abigael Abiy.

Dr. Abigael Abiy is a passionate medical graduate from Tikur Anbessa University, dedicated to advancing health advocacy in Ethiopia. Currently serving as the Supervising Council of EMSA-Ethiopia, she focuses on empowering medical students to engage in impactful advocacy efforts. As the former National Officer for Research with SCORE, Dr. Abigael has demonstrated her commitment to leveraging research for health advancement. In 2025, she represented youth voices at the World Health Assembly as a WHO Youth Delegate. Currently, she is an intern in the Science and Innovation Directorate at the African CDC, where she continues to champion health advocacy and innovation across the continent.

✨ Meet our 2nd Trainer, Dr Nanati Jemal.

Dr. Nanati Jemal is an AAU and IFMSA alumni and emerging global health leader from Ethiopia, committed to advancing primary health care and health equity. She currently works as a junior Advocacy officer at the International Institute for Primary Health Care - Ethiopia. She also serves as a Youth Council at the World Health Organization working on health care accessibility and equity and is actively engaged in international health diplomacy. She is also a published researcher with 8 peer-reviewed publications under her belt.

✨ Meet our Third Trainer for the online Advocacy CB series, Beth Stinchcombe.

Beth Stinchcombe is a UK medical student, and the Liaison Officer to the World Health Organization for the International Federation of Medical Students Associations and a member of the WHO Youth Council. She has over 5 years of experience working in the fields of global health and meaningful youth engagement as well as experience as working in public health tackling regional health issues. She has worked with various organisations including Students for Global Health, IFMSA and RCPCHs International Child Health Group. She is also a member of The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health's Youth Advisory Panel.
