πΈ HER VOICE, HER POWER β A Conversation That Matters
We brought women together for a meaningful and inspiring conversation around voice, confidence, leadership, and impact.
From finding and owning our voices, to recognizing our power and turning our ideas into action, the session reminded us that every woman has a story worth sharing and a voice capable of creating change.
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing speakers, participants, and everyone who contributed to making this gathering possible. π€
Special appreciation to Zhema Media & Promotion for co-organizing and supporting this initiative, alongside HERCHILD AFRICA INITIATIVE.
This is only the beginning. β¨
Her Voice. Her Power. Her Impact.

π¬ YOUR VOICE MATTERS β LETβS SHAPE HOPE LIVES TOGETHER! π±
We donβt want HOPE LIVES to be a program where you simply come, listen, and leave.
We want to hear from you before we meet.
What is the one question about mental health or suicide prevention that you have always wanted to ask?
What do you think we should be talking about?
What challenges do you see around children, young people, women and girls, refugees and displaced communities?
Or perhaps you have a suggestion, experience, or message of hope that you would like us to bring into the conversation.
π Write it in the comments!
Please include:
βοΈ Your Name
π Where you are from
π¬ Your Question, Suggestion or Message
We will bring selected questions and contributions directly into the conversation during HOPE LIVES.
And who knows?
Your question could be the question someone else has been waiting for someone to ask.
Letβs make this more than an event.
Letβs make it a conversation.
Letβs make it a movement of hope. π±

What does human rights have to do with suicide prevention?
More than we often realize.
When someone is struggling, the conversation is not only about mental health. It is also about the right to life, dignity, safety, protection, and access to support.
So, what happens when we look at suicide prevention through the lens of human rights law?
At HOPE LIVES, we are bringing this perspective into the conversation with Asamnew Argo (LLB, BA, MA), a legal professional with a strong focus on human rights law.
Weβll explore the questions that are not always asked β and the responsibilities we all share in protecting people when they are most vulnerable.

π HAPPY AFRICAN HUMAN RIGHTS DAY!
Today, HERCHILD AFRICA Initiative joins the continent in commemorating African Human Rights Day and reflecting on 40 years of the African Charter on Human and Peoplesβ Rights.
But as we celebrate this milestone, we must ask:
Can we speak of African human rights without speaking about the rights, dignity and safety of African women and girls?
Across Africa, particularly in Eastern Africa, violence against women and girls, harmful practices, conflict and barriers to justice remain pressing concerns.
Our commitments must translate into real protection, justice, resources and action.
We envision an Africa where every woman and girl can live free from violence, discrimination and fear.
β¨ Happy African Human Rights Day!
Let African womenβs rights always remain at the heart of African human rights.
