Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who was invited to Islamabad to attend a meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, met with Nigerian Foreign Minister Hassoumi Masoudou on Wednesday.

Wang Yi said China and Nigeria share a strong mutual trust and friendship and always firmly support each other on issues affecting core interests. Trade and economic cooperation between the two sides is constantly deepening, and key projects are successfully progressing. China stands ready to cooperate with Nigeria to promote the implementation of the results of the Eighth Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Nigeria for the benefit of the people of that country.
