Sir Christoper Chope (Conservatives) points to new research that says that about one million Americans might have sustained heart injury from the COVID mRNA vaccines. He criticizes how the vaccines were always advertised as nothing but absolutely safe which they turned out not to be. Government representatives in the face of overwhelming evidence of harm try to fall back on arguing that the benefits supposedly outweigh the harms.

"We do seem to have some facts that we all can agree on. The first being, I am afraid, that the MHRA is significantly deficient in the way it operates. [... There are] concerns about the way treatments are regulated and licensed that have not yet been addressed. I am afraid to say, through the COVID episode many of the same concerns were manifested in relation to these vaccines.
We now know that the MHRA knew about the effects of the Astra Zeneca vaccine on blood clotting as early as February 2021 but they only issued a warning some months later in April, a month after other countries had suspended the use of the vaccine.
The MHRA also knew about the prevalence of heart problems and myocarditis in February 2021 but they did nothing about until June of that year. In the interim time, millions of people were vaccinated without the knowledge which the MHRA had.
We now know that Pfizer misrepresented the safety and efficacy of their [mRNA] vaccine. There has been very little done against them for this. No meaningful fines, just a few thousand pounds charged in expenses.
And the regulatory system that oversees these pharmaceutical companies surely is deeply conflicted, not least by the fact that they are partly funded by the pharmaceutical industry that they are set up to represent. And I think it is a significant enough concern that they have made so much money out of these vaccines and they so far do not appear to be giving due recompense for some of these acknowledged harms [...] that their vaccines have been responsible for.
And I am wondering if the Minister can maybe enlighten us on the indemnity the Government awarded to the vaccine manufacturers in the beginning of the production process and whether the indemnities still apply if it transpires that the companies misled the Government and the Public about the efficacy and the safety of their products. Are they still indemnified against Civil action, against Government action?" – Danny Kruger MP
