Why Does The WHO, The AMA, & Every Major Medical Organization Have A Symbol Of A Snake Climbing A Stick?

In 2019, if someone had told you the harmaceutical industry was a cult...would you have believed them or dismissed it without any consideration?

How about 2020 when up became down? Or 2021 when the pressure and propaganda peaked? Or 2022 when it all started crashing down?

Have you heard of the Cult of Asclepius?

I hadn't either.

Like many, I wrongly assumed the snake and the staff symbol were biblical, perhaps a reference to Moses and the snake and the staff. But I was wrong.

The symbol of the snake and the staff is a direct symbolic reference to greek mythology.

The Cult of Asclepius worshiped the greek god Asclepius, who was killed by Zeus for healing too many people.

As the mythology goes, he was so good at healing that Hades, the greek god of the underworld (hell), complained to Zeus that Asclepius might ultimately give humanity immortality, so Zeus killed him.

Asclepius could apparently listen to snakes, who taught him how to cure everything...yada, yada, yada...and so the snake became revered by the cult.

Snakes in the temple, where sacrifices were performed.

Snakes on the temple grounds as sacred creatures...they were considered forever young.

The cult temples became the first 'hospitals'.

No births and no deaths were allowed, so no pregnant women and no elderly were admitted.

The priests would interview travelers at the gates and deny treatment at their discretion...sound familiar?

People certainly died during surgery and other treatments, so what did they do with those that died?

You see, Asclepius means "to cut open" and surgery was definitely practiced at each temple.

And there's more...

A temple where sacrifices and surgeries are performed, where no birth or death is allowed, and with an underground maze leading to a snake pit...yep, that's a cult.

But Hippocrates was greek?

Yes. First, do no harm. This emerges as a code of ethics for professionals, not priests, in contrast to the Cult of Asclepius while also borrowing the ideals of natural healing, clean environments, exercise, and mental health all greeks embraced as a culture. Not everything done in the temples was bad.

MDs emerge from the Cult of Asclepius.

NDs emerge from Hippocrates.
