Been seeing this circulating around... What do you think?

Personally, I appreciate the sentiment, but some of these seem to be trying too hard. In today's climate where there's so much language policing and censorship, "straight-shooter" directness and honesty can feel so refreshing.

A phrase like "kill two birds" is definitely something i don't use anymore.

But, to be "blown way" or "mind-blown", or to "kick around an idea", some of these have a kinetic energy that's just being straightup honest and accurate!

When we have a lightbulb-moment of sudden insight, the Gamma surge in our brains, it's honestly a mindblowing moment. So it would be dishonest to use non-kinetic words to describe such dynamic experiences.

And "That's not a bad idea" --> "That's a good idea." Come on. Are we so fragile? 🤦‍♀️

It's good to bring skillful awareness to our choice of words -- AND -- in today's world, I find myself valuing straight-shooter honesty and authenticity. 🎯

Some ideas:
* I'll take a stab at it --> I'll have a go at it.

* I'll bite the bullet --> I'll get up the guts to face the situation. OR - Roll up the sleeves and face the facts.

* Kill two birds with one stone --> It's a two-for-one! Win-win!

* We have to pick our battles --> Let's be smart and use our time/energy more wisely.

* Let's roll with the punches --> go with the flow or Aikido around it.

* let's not beat a dead horse --> let's not keep going in circles; it's not productive anymore.

* I was blown away --> keep using it, or
"I was mind-blown." "I was totally WOW'd by it."

* I was kicking around an idea --> keep using it, or "I was tossing around an idea". "noodling on an idea", "bouncing around an idea."

* He's a straight shooter --> He's a straight shooter! 😂

Meditating on this idea of "Violence"...

When is it good? Helpful, useful, or necessary?

When is it bad or unhelpful ?

What if we commit to cultivating our skill in maintaining our presence and poise amidst violence?

What if we study the energy deeply so we can be aware of the potentials, the options available in each moment?

What if we learn to wield its tremendous power and potency with greater wisdom?  with skillfulness, responsibility, precision, impeccability, clarity, and conscious awareness?

Can we be sensitive, sensible, aware of possibilities?

Can we be gentle and soft when appropriate - AND - powerful, kinetic, dynamic "violent" when the situation calls for it?

Moving into the more beautiful world of Love, Joy, Peace...

With "Pride" being so present this month, it's helpful to consider that Pride is a sub-200 level consciousness.

It is Force. It is not Power.

Of course, it's a great improvement from shame / guilt / fear. but the question is -- will humanity stay stuck here? or will we evolve beyond Pride into Courage? to Reason, Love, Joy, Peace?

Let's keep going - beyond Pride - into a more beautiful world of Reason, Love, Joy, Peace.

We deserve a beautiful world, a beautiful life.✨🧘‍♀️✨
