♻️ارزیابی #عصب-شناختی #پیری در #مغز افراد تک زبانه و #دوزبانه

#Neuropsychological #assessments of #cognitive #aging in #monolingual and #bilingual #older #adults

پژوهشگران نوروساینس دانشگاه یورک 🇨🇦 به مقایسه ابزارهای عصب-روانشناختی سنجش تغییرات شناختی ناشی از #سالمندی در افراد تک زبانه و دوزبانه پرداخته اند.
🔬در این پژوهش، 184 داوطلب شرکت نمودند که شامل 35 سالمند سالم، 74 سالمند دارای نقایص خفیف شناختی (#MCI) و 75 سالمند دارای #آلزایمر (#AD) بودند. بررسی های شامل مصاحبه مختصر روانپزشکی (#MMSE) و آزمون جامع ارزیابی #کارکردهای #اجرایی (#D-KEFS)، و ارزیابی شناختی #مونترال بود. موارد مورد سنجش شامل #حافظه #کاری، #روانی #کلامی، حافظه #پیشگستر، و #تغییرتکلیف بودند.
📚نتایج نشان دادند افراد دوزبانه متفاوت از افراد تک زبانه در آزمونهای #استاندارد عصب-روانشناختی عمل می کنند. بین سه سطح وضعیت شناختی داوطلبان، در هر دو گروه زبانی، الگوهای شناختی متفاوتی از تخریب مشاهده شد. در گروه سالم، افراد دوزبانه کارکردهای به مراتب ضعیف تری نسبت به افراد سالم داشتند. در گروه های نقایص خفیف و آلزایمر، الگوی تخریب در افراد تک زبانه خطی ولی در افراد دوزبانه چهاروجهی بود.
📝بر این اساس به نظر می رسد آزمونهای عصب-روانشناختی موجود برای شناسایی و طبقه بندی نقایص شناختی ناشی از سالمندی اعتبار ندارند و لازم است آزمون های متفاوتی برای افراد دو/چندزبانه طراحی شوند.

Abstract
#Standardized #neuropsychological #tests are routinely used as #diagnostic #criteria in #aging #populations and are an important piece of #evidence for the #identification of #clinical #pathology and #neurodegenerative conditions such as #Alzheimer's disease. Tests include such measures as the #Mini #Mental #Status #Exam, #Delis-Kaplan #Executive #Function System, #Montreal #Cognitive #Assessment, and others. These tests cover a range of functions including #working #memory, #verbal #fluency, #prospective #memory, and #task #switching. #Interpretation of test results is based on comparison of the participant's score to standard scores that have been normed on a population database. However, a growing body of research has shown that the #skills underlying these tests may be significantly different in monolingual and bilingual older adults, especially for those experiencing cognitive #impairment, yet the standardized test scores do not account for such differences. Therefore, results of neuropsychological tests may be different for bilingual populations than for monolinguals, and those differences may be misinterpreted. The issue is important because the consequences of these interpretative errors may be over- or under-diagnosis of cognitive impairment. The present study examined the neuropsychological test scores of #monolingual and #bilingual older adults who were experiencing healthy aging or cognitive impairment to establish #patterns in these scores that can more accurately guide the interpretation for bilingual older adults by considering group differences in the underlying abilities.

♻️افزایش #خلاقیت با استفاده از #نوروفیدبک

Enhancing #creative #cognition with a #rapid #right-parietal #neurofeedback #procedure

پژوهشگران انستیتو خلاقیت مارکونی🇮🇹، دانشگاه بولونیا🇮🇹، و بنیاد سانتا لوسیا 🇮🇹 در پژوهشی که به تازگی منتشر شده است، موفق به ابداع پروتکل جدیدی برای افزیش خلاقیت در افراد شدند.

🔬در این پژوهش آزمایشی، 80 داوطلب #زن شرکت کردند. بعنوان #پیش‌آزمون و #پس‌آزمون #نوارمغزی، 2 ثبت 3 دقیقه ای با چشمان باز و بسته (#QEEG با 34 #سنسور طبق استاندارد 10/20) پیش و پس از اجرای #نوروفیدبک (#NFT) گرفته شد. همچنین آزمون #خلاقیت پیش و پس از اجرای مداخله بعمل آمد. مرحله مداخله شامل 3 راند 8 دقیقه ای نوروفیدبک بود.

📊نتایج نشان دادند:
1️⃣پروتکل های اجرایی برای افزایش فعالیت باندهای #آلفا و #بتا موفقیت آمیز بودند.

2️⃣ ❌ افزایش فعالیت باند آلفا تغییر خاصی در خلاقیت ایجاد نکرد.

3️⃣ ✅ افزایش فعالیت باند بتا منجر به افزایش معنادار خلاقیت شد.
