پژوهشگران دانشگاه پزشکی ارتش 🇵🇱، و دانشگاه نیکلاس کوپرنیکوس🇵🇱 در نوشتاری مروری به بررسی سودمندی های #سنجش های #بینایی در بیماری MS پرداخته اند:
1️⃣یکی از روش های سنجش، تشخیص و پایش پیشرفت بیماری #اسکلروزمالتیپل، بررسی همگرایی بینایی (#OCT) است.
2️⃣در #مالتیپل-اسکلروسیز لایه #پری-پاپیلاری عصب بینایی نازک می شود و ضخامت کلی #ماکولا نیز کاهش می یابد.
3️⃣با پیشرفت #MS شدت این اختلالات نیز افزایش می یابد که شاخصی از تباهی پایدار #گره های عصبی #شبکیه و رشته های عصبی است.
4️⃣روش OCT حساس، دقیق، و #غیرتهاجمی است و در تشخیص التهابات و سیر پیشرفت تباهی عصبی MS قابلیت بسیار مطلوبی دارد
Abstract
This paper presents application of optical coherence tomography (#OCT) for diagnosis and monitoring of multiple sclerosis (#MS). The #peripapillary #retinal #nerve #fibre layer thinning and the reduced total #macular volume analysis are shown. With the course of the MS, the severity of these abnormalities increases which reflects the progressive #degeneration of retinal #ganglion #cells and nerve fibres. The OCT parameters are sensitive, #non-invasive indicators useful in assessing the progression of #inflammation and #neurodegeneration in MS.
