The combination of the Joliet, Whiting, and Valero refinery outages, paired with the record low Mississippi River levels blocking barge transport, will immediately constrict fuel availability in the Midwest. So yes that can be seen now and soon.
Retail diesel and gasoline prices will continue to spike sharply across the Heartland.
Farmers entering the peak fall harvest season will face localized diesel shortages, forcing some regional cooperatives to implement temporary fuel rationing or hyper inflated surcharges.
Now.. January to let’s say about March 2027
Likely see surging winter utility bills and the first wave of grocery inflation.
Home heating bills (natural gas and heating oil) will hit near record highs or even break records. In the grocery store, the price of meat, dairy, and packaged goods will climb..
April through July 2027
We will likely see global food supply contraction and severe grocery price spikes. This is when the "fertilizer cliff" manifests also…the global spring 2027 planting season will be severely under fertilized..
Global grain yields (wheat, corn, and soy) will drop noticeably.
This will trigger a SECONDARY, much more aggressive spike in global food prices, leading to severe food insecurity in import dependent developing nations and highly visible inflation at U.S. supermarkets.
This kind of perfect storm of events can last well into late 2027 and beyond.
This is a high risk window for structural grid and refinery failures as well because of how they are running trying to keep up.. likely won’t end good.
Late 2027 and on, Watch for increased frequency of unannounced, catastrophic mechanical breakdowns at domestic refineries, causing sudden, unpredictable localized fuel shortages well into the following year.
And ALL of that ^ is just from THESE events going on alone.. Imagine when other orchestrated and manufactured many crisis events unfold in the middle of all this

I’ve speculated before that this may be a deliberate shortage scenario rather than a chaotic, real shortage. It’ll be bad either way, but I expect the way nations and regions within nations run out will become obviously organic in the case of real, unaddressable outages.
I do not seek too panic anyone. On the contrary, look at what’s happening where you are and let’s share insights to determine to what extent this is genuine vs government policy being complied with by the oil majors.
David Jensen, silver analyst miner and stacker argues that fuel shortages are the last straw in popping the “everything” bubble in the financial system.

My take on happenings as things escalate on the world stage…..The EU and NATO are preparing for war and are planning a major False Flag/attack somewhere in Europe, then blame Russia to bait them into war. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is also to stop the US midterm elections from happening in November, and to stop of the ‘Far Right’ parties from rising up across Europe.
There is no doubt that there is mass PANIC happening all over the world as the takedown accelerates. It’s not going to slow down.
