NEW: The IRS fired 6,700 employees on Thursday, a government official told NewsNation, the sister television network of The Hill.
The employees were designated as probationary, meaning they were working for the agency on a trial basis prior to becoming full staff members.
More than 5,000 of the fired staff members were auditors and collection staff dealing with tax compliance issues, the official told NewsNation.
The White House, Treasury Department and the IRS did not respond to questions from The Hill regarding the specifics of the firings.
But Kevin Hassett, chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers (CEA), told reporters at the White House on Thursday that the decision was motivated by government efficiency concerns.

Hundreds of Indian farmers have been using Pepsi & Coca-Cola to spray their crops as it’s 10 times cheaper than buying pesticides and keeps the crops bug free.
Some states in south India have even banned the manufacture and sale of Coke, Pepsi, Sprite and other drinks, claiming they contain high levels of pesticide residues.
Both Pepsi and Coca-Cola are in denial about their products being used as pesticides because they say there is nothing in the drinks that can be used as pest control.

Another Scam Exposed: Chicken Farmer Calls Out Bird Flu Lies
An American chicken farmer is exposing the bird flu narrative, claiming it's being used to justify skyrocketing egg prices—just like the COVID playbook.
“Every time a bird dies, they say bird flu. I’m telling you, they’re bullsh*tting you.”
He claims neglect and poor nutrition in mega-facilities are causing mass deaths, not bird flu.
“They don’t give them the right supplements, and the birds get sick. They use 'bird flu' as an excuse.”
This aligns with reports that Mexico hasn't been impacted by the so-called outbreak—suggesting the narrative is a lie to manipulate food prices.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has given a “conditional approval” to use mRNA bird flu vaccine in poultry
Was This Approved by the Trump Administration?
Kinda, but mostly NO… the conditional approval was not granted by the Trump administration.
This approval was granted by regulatory agencies like the USDA or FDA which The substantive decisions— research, reviews, and recommendations that led to the approval—were made by USDA staff under the Biden administration’s leadership.
Now that @RobertKennedyJr and as well as others are in those positions, we should expect NO mRNA Vaccines in our poultry. At least, I hope so.
People blaming Trump for this are wrong… but it’s his administration in position that can stop this now.

https://t.co/2jtqACCGDg FDA recalls millions of granola bars for a ‘potential presence of metal’
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup water
3 tablespoons olive oil
Directions
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Stir in water and oil. Turn out onto a floured surface; knead 10-12 times, adding flour or water if needed to achieve a smooth dough. Let rest for 10 minutes.
Divide dough into 8 portions. On a lightly floured surface, roll each portion into a 7-in. circle.
In a greased cast-iron or other heavy skillet, cook tortillas over medium heat until lightly browned, about 1 minute on each side. Serve warm.
Try a different fat: Experiment with various fats like softened butter, shortening or other vegetable oils until you find the taste and texture you desire.
Use alternative flour options: You can try this recipe with bread flour, though the tortillas might turn out chewier than you’d expect.
