NIA has Arrested Iyakub Ali and Mustafizur Rehman from Barpeta Road in Assam over Jihadi Terror links.
Rehman was earlier arrested by Assam STF on March 14 from Azad Nagar over jihadi links.
He remained in Guwahati Central Jail before securing bail around 2 months ago and runs a clothes shop opposite Barpeta Road Jama Masjid.

๐ฎ๐ณ Captain Smit Machchhar, an Indian national and the pilot-in-command of Flydubai Flight FZ1073, successfully thwarted a mid-air disaster on September 30, 2026, after his Omani co-pilot violently attacked and stabbed him in the cockpit.
The flight, operating a Boeing 737 MAX 8 from Dubai to Tel Aviv with roughly 180 passengers on board, was forced into a terrifying, rapid dive.
Despite sustaining stab wounds, Machchhar fiercely fought back to reclaim control of the aircraft from his co-pilot, who was allegedly attempting to crash the plane or carry out a hijack.

Tamil Nadu Police have arrested six men in Thanjavur over alleged links to Hizb-ut-Tahrir (HuT) and suspected efforts to influence youths toward the Khilafat movement.

The Omani co-pilot who stabbed Indian Captain Smit Machchhar mid-air and sent Flydubai FZ1073 plunging toward the ground has been named Hamam Al-Hammami.
Arabic media reports that he was fired/barred by Oman Air in 2024โ25 for repeatedly browsing extremist sites and radical views. Flydubai hired him anyway , reportedly without checking with Oman Air. His mother is of Syrian origin.
