DON'T DOWNPLAY THE GIFT BECAUSE OF ABUSE

Some believers dismiss or mock the power of praying in tongues simply because they’ve seen people who speak in tongues yet still have character flaws. They point to hypocrisy and say, “If tongues are real, why is their life like this?”

the abuse or neglect of a gift does not nullify its power. A sharp knife in careless hands can wound, but in skilled hands it can save a life. The fact that someone prays in tongues but refuses to submit to the Spirit’s leading is a problem of the heart, not the gift.

Praying in tongues is not a magic wand for instant maturity. It is a divine tool for building spiritual capacity, aligning with God’s will, and edifying your inner man (1 Corinthians 14:4). But like every tool, it must be used with sincerity, faith, and obedience.

When we reject a gift because of a few misusers, we rob ourselves of the grace God intended for us. Rather than downplay tongues because some abuse it, pursue both the power and the character that reflects Christ.

Do bad drivers make cars evil? Why should immature believers make tongues powerless?

WHEN SERVING GOD FEELS LIKE IT'S NOT WORKING…

(this will bring you back to life...please share with someone)

You know, one of the reasons many believers sink into depression is because of how we define success in God. Somewhere along the line, we began to think that serving God should automatically mean money in the bank, cars in the driveway, houses, and constant testimonies. And when life doesn’t move that way, we feel like God has failed us.

But that’s not how this walk works. The real reward of serving God has always been HIMSELF:intimacy, closeness, friendship. Moses is proof. He saw miracles, he saw signs, but the thing he treasured most was that he could talk with God “face to face, as a man talks to his friend.” That is the real wealth. Look at what God told Abraham

Gen 15:1
"Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great REWARD.”

GOD IS OUR EXCEEDING GREAT REWARD

Yes, God will bless you with things in time. Jesus promised it (Matthew 6:33). But those things are byproducts, not the foundation. If all we look for is material blessings, we will never last in this walk and we’ll always feel disappointed.

Don’t let social media deceive you either. Many people flaunt wealth, blessings, and testimonies online. But one day in heaven, it will be clear that a lot of those things came from ambition, compromise, or even dark sources, not from God. Envying that kind of wealth is like envying a mirage.

So please, don’t give up. Don’t rush. Don’t measure yourself by what you see others posting. Stay with God. Build your story with Him. Learn Him in the quiet years, in the hidden struggles, in the moments no one claps for you. That’s where the foundation is.

And when the time is right, the fruits will come. The blessings will manifest. But by then, you won’t even be shaken by them, because your true treasure will already be Him.

Stay steady. Don’t envy. Don’t quit. Your intimacy with God is your real success. Everything else will follow in its time.

LEARN TO LOVE PEOPLE GENUINELY!!

"Believe it or not...without a genuine love for people, God does not regard your prayer and fasting...you just wasted your time".......Pst Steve

Here’s the problem: about 90% of us as believers get it twisted. We focus so much on prayer and fasting as if those are the main ingredients of our faith, that we miss the one thing Jesus actually said would mark us as His disciples. He didn’t say,

‘They will know you are mine because you pray.’ He didn’t say,
‘They will know you are mine because you fast.’ No...

John 13:35 says, ‘By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.’

And that’s where most of us fail. We pray hard, we fast long, but we still can’t love people. Then we wonder why all that praying and fasting just makes us prideful, or worse, more fleshly.

All throughout Scripture, love has always been the greatest. Paul said in

1 Corinthians 13:2,

‘If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.’ Nothing.

So if you want to see the greatest manifestations of God’s Spirit and power in your life, you’ve got to love people. Not just say you love God, but actually love people; the ones you can see, the ones who annoy you, the ones who hurt you. Because let’s be real, it’s a lot easier to claim you love God, who you can’t see, than it is to love the person right in front of you (1 John 4:20).

Here’s the truth: prayer and fasting are powerful, but without love, they’re empty. If you want your prayers to carry weight and your fasting to break chains, let love be the foundation. Because love is not just the greatest commandment; it’s the greatest power.
