RINOs resigning, tampering with Republican majority to try to stop Trump in 2024

Democrats are not the only ones trying to stop Donald Trump from winning the presidency in 2024.

RINO Republicans, meaning Republicans in name only, are conspiring with each other to block Trump through any means, even by resigning in order to cause the Republican Party to lose its majority in Congress.

The same type of thing happened in 2018 during the midterms when, as Revolver puts it, "RINOs bowed out in droves, handing over the reins of the House to the Democrats on a silver platter, all so they could take a couple of swings at impeaching President Trump."

On X, Charlie Kirk announced that Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) is quitting his post, which will leave Republicans with just a one-seat majority. This was also confirmed by Newsweek and other media sources.

"RINO Ken Buck has made it painfully clear that he’s part of a four-man scheme to stop President Trump, even when he's duly elected for a third time by We the People," Revolver explains. "They plan to resign before 2024 so that Democrats will be in charge of the House and control the certification process."

"If you've ever questioned the reality of the Uniparty, let this be your wake-up call. It's alive, kicking, and using every ounce of its energy to fight the people."

RINO Republicans vs. MAGA Republicans

Rumors are also circulating that Buck and other RINOs in Congress are planning to use the lets-abandon-our-majority maneuver to not only block Trump from the White House again but also to put an end to MAGA (Make America Great Again) lawmakers winning office.

The Hill reported that Buck is rejecting the notion that his early departure from Congress was calculated to thwart Rep. Lauren Boebert's (R-Colo.) electoral ambitions in the 4th Congressional District.

Buck's early departure means there now has to be a special election to fill his seat, a move that Boebert called "weak sauce" and a "gift to the uniparty."

"The establishment concocted a swampy backroom deal to try to rig an election I'm winning by 25 points," Boebert said in a statement, which Buck called "ridiculous."

According to Buck, he has done his "very best" to stay out of the primary election, claiming that he is acting in impartiality.

Try as he might to frame his early departure as nothing sinister, Buck was written about by Occupy Democrats as well, which admitted that the move "couldn't be worse for Lauren Boebert" because she was running to defeat Buck in November.

"Since Boebert is plagued with scandals and has made a lot of enemies within the party the Colorado Sun predicts that they may end up NOT choosing Boebert," Occupy Democrats reported.

"To make matters even worse for Boebert, the Colorado Sun also reports that she will have to resign her current Congressional seat in order to be eligible to run in the special election because Colorado law bans candidates from running for more than one office at a time."

One thing is clear from all this: The establishment has pretty much given up on President Biden having any chance at winning this fall, otherwise they would not be going to such great lengths to stop Trump.

"Instead, they've gone all-in, placing every single one of their rotten, stinking eggs in the 'STOP TRUMP' basket," Revolver says.

"Dems, hand-in-hand with their RINO allies, are on a mission to dismantle MAGA and block President Trump from returning to the White House, no matter the cost to the country and the American people."

▫️Mexico investigates 2 immigration officials for corruption and human trafficking
Tijuana, Mexico - Two officials from Mexico’s National Migration Institute, including the head of the Tijuana migration station on the border with the United States, are under investigation for crimes related to corruption and human trafficking, authorities reported on Wednesday.

Money pours into Colorado Democrats’ legislative primaries, and many of Rep. Elisabeth Epps’ colleagues support her opponent

Hundreds of thousands of dollars already are being dumped into Democratic primary elections for several safe statehouse seats, including an unprecedented trend of sitting Democratic legislators giving money to their colleague’s opponent.

Across 10 contested Democratic primaries along the Front Range, for instance, more than $1.1 million already has been raised ahead of the June contest, according to the most recent financial reports released earlier this month. Some — like an open Senate seat in Arvada and a House seat in Lakewood — have surpassed $100,000 in cumulative fundraising with five months to go before the primary and with outside spending yet to begin.

Spending on Democratic primary races has slowly increased in recent years, as the party’s power in the statehouse has grown and competition for safe seats has intensified. Traditional Republican backers, like business groups, are now spending more to influence Democratic primaries as Republican power in the Capitol has reached a historic nadir and more left-wing candidates run in state primaries. Simultaneously, Democrats’ growing power has revealed deeper ideological and stylistic fissures among both candidates and voters that manifest in primary challenges and spending.

“It is a lot of money,” said Morgan Carroll, who previously served as both the president of the state Senate and the chair of the Colorado Democratic Party. Her partner, Rep. Mike Weissman, is running in a competitive primary for a state Senate seat. “Overall, our general elections have actually become more expensive, and I think our primary elections have become more expensive. And maybe it’s not a perfect truth, but for the most part, the bluer the state, the more expensive the primary.”

When Carroll first ran 20 years ago, a competitive primary would maybe hit $50,000 in fundraising. That’s become routine: In Lakewood, for instance, Kyra deGruy Kennedy has raised more than $63,000 in a race to replace her husband, Rep. Chris deGruy Kennedy, in the House. Her opponent, Lakewood City Councilwoman Rebekah Stewart, has topped $72,000.

Arvada Rep. Lindsey Daugherty has more than $111,000 in her bid to move to the state Senate, against just over $100,000 from Westminster City Councilman Obi Ezeadi, who’s funded more than a quarter of that total himself. Various sitting legislators have donated to both sides of that race.

UCHealth reports half a billion dollars in uncompensated care in 2023

UCHealth provided more than half a billion dollars’ worth of uncompensated care in fiscal year 2023, and representatives for the health care system on Tuesday said they expect to spend even more this year.

Three factors increased uncompensated care: increased migration to the Denver area, Medicaid unwinding following the COVID-19 public health emergency, and a new state law that allows people with incomes less than 250% of the poverty line to apply for financial aid, said Tom Gronow, president and CEO of the health system’s University of Colorado Hospital. Coloradans had some right to apply for financial assistance before the 2021 law passed, but hospitals varied in how they handled discounted care.

The hospital in Aurora provided the largest share of UCHealth’s uncompensated care, accounting for about $237 million of the $580 million total between July 2022 and June 2023. Uncompensated care increased systemwide by about $24 million compared to the previous fiscal year, UCHealth said.

The health system’s fiscal year 2023 budget was about $6.9 billion.

Ken Buck lets loose in ‘exit interview,’ spilling secrets on Congress

Former Colorado Republican Rep. Ken Buck shared some of his greatest frustrations and lifted the lid on how Congress works in an interview airing several retiring lawmakers’ thoughts on how the House is operating.

Buck, who started representing Colorado’s 4th Congressional District in 2015, announced his retirement, resigned early, and left his seat wide open. Late last year, he announced he would not seek reelection in 2024, citing “lying” from his party about the Jan. 6 insurrection on the U.S. Capitol.

“It has been an honor to serve the people of Colorado’s 4th District in Congress for the past 9 years,” Buck said in a short statement announcing his exit from Congress.

As the 118th Congress grapples with high levels of unproductiveness due to party infighting, Buck unloaded on the institution during an exit interview with the New York Times.

“One of the most frustrating experiences for me was the antitrust legislation concerning Big Tech,” Buck said. “They have so much money and so much influence on the Hill that we just can’t move forward on those issues.”

“The frustration of being in the House and being told all the time, ‘This is how you need to vote,’” Buck said. “The part of me that wanted to stick around because I believed we could get more things done died.”
