Building Futures, Shaping Bharat: A New Era in Education and Innovation!

It was great to inaugurate the MPSTME Building & NMIMS Building and Bhoomipujan of SVKM's Educational Complex along with Hon Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan ji in Vile Parle, Mumbai.

NMIMS University ranks No 1 in many fields because its Chancellor, Amrish Patel never compromised on values while developing the institution. This is why it has become one of the most prestigious institutions in the country.

The New National Education Policy (NEP) has opened India’s doors to the world’s top universities. Today, we have issued Letters of Intent (LOIs) to 5 foreign universities to set up campuses in EduCity, Navi Mumbai. In the near future, 5 more will follow, creating a major educational hub. This will give students access to global knowledge and offer international-quality education at low cost to those unable to study abroad. It will also save foreign exchange, which is otherwise spent when students go overseas, benefiting other economies.

Progress needs competition—and without it, growth stops. Once the peak is reached, one must create competition to go higher. The NEP has sparked this competition. Now, our institutions compete not with Indian peers, but with five foreign universities. In 2–3 years, both sides will analyse where they stand in comparison to each other.

In the 21st century, industries go where innovation and talent are, not just resources. To become the third, then second-largest economy and build a Viksit Bharat, we must create top-quality human resources and workforce. Earlier, our education system was slow to adapt—by the time curriculum changed, the world had moved ahead. Now, with NEP’s flexibility, the system has become dynamic. It enables integration of diverse courses and supports a multidisciplinary, tech-oriented structure that meets industry needs.

Earlier, a new generation of technology would come every 7 years. Then, it started changing every 3 years. Now, with Artificial Intelligence, technology is evolving so fast that we see a new generation of technology every 3 months. This demands a system that supports constant learning. 'Learn, unlearn, and relearn' is the mantra today, and only those who embrace it will progress. Indian students are showcasing their talents, opening up many new possibilities.

In the coming years, strengthening the startup ecosystem is essential. Today, Maharashtra–Mumbai is India’s startup capital. According to the Startup India report, Maharashtra ranks 1st in both number and investment. The State has also set up a Fund of Funds, helping create hundreds of startups—reflecting the strength of our youth. Government, along with educational institutions and universities, must create a supportive environment. This will back job creators, not just job seekers, and together we will incubate this ecosystem. As a result, many will become entrepreneurs and contribute to the nation’s growth.

'एआय'च्या युगात ‘लर्न, अनलर्न, रिलर्न’ हाच मंत्र — 21व्या शतकातील भारताची शैक्षणिक वाटचाल!

मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस आणि केंद्रीय मंत्री धर्मेंद्र प्रधान यांनी आज मुंबई येथे एमपीएसटीएमई आणि एनएमआयएमएस इमारतींचे उद्घाटन, तसेच एसव्हीकेएम शैक्षणिक संकुलाचे भूमिपूजन केले.

मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यावेळी म्हणाले की, एनएमआयएमएस विद्यापीठाचे कुलगुरू डॉ. अमरीश पटेल यांनी ही संस्था घडवताना कोणत्याही मूल्याशी तडजोड केली नाही, म्हणूनच ही संस्था देशातील अग्रगण्य शैक्षणिक संस्थांमध्ये गणली जाते. आज ती विविध क्षेत्रांत क्रमांक एकवर आहे.

नवीन राष्ट्रीय शैक्षणिक धोरणामुळे (NEP) आता भारताने जगातील सर्वोत्तम विद्यापीठांसाठी आपले दरवाजे खुले केले आहेत. त्याच पार्श्वभूमीवर आज 5 आंतरराष्ट्रीय विद्यापीठांना नवी मुंबईतील एज्युसिटीमध्ये आपले कॅम्पस स्थापन करण्यासाठी 'लेटर ऑफ इंटेंट' (LOI) देण्यात आले. लवकरच आणखी 5 परदेशी विद्यापीठे येथे आपले कॅम्पस सुरू करतील. यामुळे एक व्यापक शैक्षणिक परिसर आकार घेणार असून आपल्या विद्यार्थ्यांना जागतिक दर्जाचे शिक्षण येथेच मिळणार आहे. यामुळे परदेशी शिक्षण परवडत नसल्यामुळे भारतातच राहणाऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यांना कमी खर्चात आंतरराष्ट्रीय दर्जाचे शिक्षण मिळेल आणि परदेशात शिक्षणासाठी खर्च होणारे परकीय चलनही वाचेल, असे मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस म्हणाले.

स्पर्धाच विकासाला चालना देते. एकदा शिखर गाठले की आणखी वर जाता येत नाही, पण स्पर्धेच्या माध्यमातून आपल्याला नवी उंची गाठता येते. आता आपल्या संस्थांना देशातील नव्हे तर आंतरराष्ट्रीय विद्यापीठांशी स्पर्धा करावी लागेल. दोन-तीन वर्षांनंतर या संस्थांची परस्पर तुलनादेखील होईल – आपण कोठे आहोत, हे तपासले जाईल. ही स्पर्धा आपल्याला अधिक सक्षम करेल, असे मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस म्हणाले.

21व्या शतकात उद्योग आणि व्यवसाय केवळ संसाधनांच्या आधारे नव्हे, तर जिथे इनोव्हेशन (नवकल्पना) आणि सक्षम मनुष्यबळ उपलब्ध आहे, तिथेच विकसित होतात. म्हणूनच भारताला विकसित राष्ट्र करण्यासाठी आपल्याला उच्च गुणवत्ता असलेले कार्यबल घडवावे लागेल. पूर्वी आपली शैक्षणिक व्यवस्था खूप धीम्या गतीने बदल स्वीकारत असे. अभ्यासक्रमात बदल होईपर्यंत जग खूप पुढे गेलेले असे. परंतु आता नवीन राष्ट्रीय शैक्षणिक धोरणामुळे शिक्षण व्यवस्थेत लवचिकता आली असून शिक्षण 'स्टॅटिक'ऐवजी 'डायनॅमिक' झाले आहे. यामुळे मल्टीडिसिप्लिनरी अभ्यासक्रम शक्य होतो आणि उद्योगांची मागणी असलेले तंत्रज्ञान-केंद्रित कार्यबल निर्माण करता येते, असे मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस म्हणाले.

पूर्वी तंत्रज्ञानाची एक पिढी बदलायला 7 वर्षांचा कालावधी लागायचा, मग तो कालावधी तंत्रज्ञानामुळेच 3 वर्षांवर आला. आता एआयमुळे प्रत्येक 3 महिन्यांनी तंत्रज्ञानाची नवी पिढी तयार होते, म्हणून ‘लर्न, अनलर्न आणि रिलर्न’ हा आजचा मंत्र आहे. हा मंत्र आपलासा करण्याची क्षमता असलेलेच पुढे जातील. भारतीय विद्यार्थी आज विविध क्षेत्रांत आपली क्षमता सिद्ध करत आहेत आणि त्यामुळे नव्या शक्यता खुल्या होत आहेत, असे मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस म्हणाले.

आगामी काळात स्टार्टअप इकोसिस्टम अधिक बळकट करणे गरजेचे आहे. आज महाराष्ट्र आणि मुंबई भारताची स्टार्टअप कॅपिटल आहे. ‘स्टार्टअप इंडिया’च्या अहवालानुसार महाराष्ट्र गुंतवणूक आणि 'स्टार्टअप' संख्येतही देशात क्रमांक एकवर आहे. महाराष्ट्र शासनाने स्टार्टअप्ससाठी ‘फंड ऑफ फंड्स’ तयार केला आहे आणि त्याद्वारे शेकडो स्टार्टअप्स उभे राहिले आहेत. तरुणांची ही ताकद आपल्याला ओळखून त्यांना पोषक वातावरण देण्याची जबाबदारी शासनासह शैक्षणिक संस्थांची आहे. या पद्धतीने आपण रोजगार मागणारे नव्हे तर रोजगार निर्माण करणारे, देशाच्या प्रगतीत मोलाचे योगदान देणारे उद्योजक घडवू, असे मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस म्हणाले.

या कार्यक्रमाला आ. अमित साटम, आ. पराग अळवणी, एनएमआयएमएस विद्यापीठाचे कुलगुरू डॉ. अमरीश पटेल, एसव्हीकेएमचे अध्यक्ष भूपेश पटेल व इतर मान्यवर उपस्थित होते.
