Transforming Maharashtra with Global Investment and Innovation

Presided over the MoU signing and exchange between the Government of Maharashtra (Industries Dept), Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority MMRDA and VIN Group (Vietnamese conglomerate) .

A significant investment of approximately $6.5 billion will be made in Maharashtra by VinGroup Joint Stock Company across key sectors including sustainable urban development, industrial and tourism growth, renewable energy capacity, smart residential townships and electric mobility over the next two years, with projects to be developed across nearly 5000 acres. This initiative is expected to generate around 24,700 direct employment opportunities. These projects will be implemented across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region as well as other key locations in the state.

As part of this initiative, VinGroup will strengthen social and public infrastructure by establishing world-class educational institutions, developing multi-speciality hospitals and an EV charging network. This MoU will unlock new opportunities in the tourism sector, with an international-standard theme park, zoo, and safari project proposed over approximately 865 acres.

Another Giant Leap Towards Digital Maharashtra, Infrastructure Bolstered with State-of-the-Art Data Center

The inauguration (online) of the 'Equinix MB3 Data Center' took place today in Mumbai at the hands of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. On this occasion, Chief Minister Fadnavis said that there will be no shortage of bandwidth henceforth during the online implementation of various government schemes. Especially after the online application process for farmers was launched, even if internet traffic suddenly increases, the system will continue to run smoothly and uninterrupted. The advanced interconnectivity in the data center and the capacity to instantly increase bandwidth will prove extremely useful for the government.

Equinix MB3 Data Center

Equinix is the world's largest data center and interconnection services company, with a network of 280 data centers across 77 metropolitan areas in 36 countries. In India, the MB3 is Equinix's first fully owned and newly constructed data center. The project has been built on 3.7 acres of land, with a total investment of approximately $750 million (about ₹60 billion). Once fully operational, it will have a capacity for more than 4,200 cabinets. The MB3 Data Center is equipped with cutting-edge technology and is capable of supporting artificial intelligence (AI)-based services. Additionally, through hybrid multi-cloud interconnection facilities, it will be possible to connect with Equinix data centers worldwide as well as more than 11,000 customers.

From the perspective of energy sustainability, a significant portion of the energy required for this data center is being supplied from a 26.6 MW capacity solar project built in Yavatmal. Currently, about 60% of the energy used in Equinix data centers in Mumbai comes from this solar project.

व्हिजन ते अंमलबजावणी; विकसित महाराष्ट्राचा आराखडा साकार

मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली आज मुंबई येथे 'विकसित महाराष्ट्र व्हिजन 2047' च्या अंमलबजावणीचा आढावा घेण्यासाठी गठीत व्हिजन व्यवस्थापन नियामक मंडळाची बैठक पार पडली.

देश आणि राज्यासाठी 2026 ते 2030 हा कालावधी अत्यंत महत्त्वाचा आहे. या काळात योग्य निर्णय आणि अंमलबजावणीच्या माध्यमातून महाराष्ट्राला केवळ मोठी अर्थव्यवस्था नव्हे, तर दरडोई उत्पन्नात महाराष्ट्राला अग्रेसर राज्य बनविणे शक्य होणार आहे. त्यादृष्टीने महाराष्ट्राच्या दीर्घकालीन प्रगतीसाठी तयार करण्यात आलेल्या 'विकसित महाराष्ट्र 2047' या महत्त्वाकांक्षी व्हिजनच्या प्रभावी अंमलबजावणीसाठी पुढील चार वर्षांत 2030 पर्यंत मोजता येण्याजोगी उद्दिष्टे साध्य करण्यावर विभागांनी भर द्यावा, असे निर्देश मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी दिले.

मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस म्हणाले, व्हिजनच्या अंमलबजावणीसाठी राज्य शासनाने 'व्हिजन मॅनेजमेंट युनिट' स्थापन करून प्रत्येक विभागासोबत सखोल चर्चा केली आहे. त्यानुसार 2030 पर्यंत साध्य करता येतील, अशा उद्दिष्टांचे स्पष्ट विभाजन करण्यात आले आहे. राज्याच्या विकासासाठी प्रगत जिल्ह्यांमध्ये नव्या तंत्रज्ञानाच्या आधारे अधिक वेगाने वाढ करणे आणि उर्वरित 11 जिल्ह्यांमध्ये मोठ्या प्रमाणावर विकासकामांची संधी आहे, त्यावर काम करण्याचे निर्देश मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस यांनी दिले. हेच जिल्हे पुढील काळात राज्याच्या वाढीचे प्रमुख केंद्र ठरू शकतात. विभागांनी तयार केलेले ॲक्शन प्लॅन हे केवळ महत्त्वाकांक्षी नसून ते अचूक, कालबद्ध, मोजता येण्यायोग्य (specific, measurable, time-bound) असणे आवश्यक आहे. चार वर्षांत 100 टक्के उद्दिष्टपूर्ती साध्य करण्याच्या दृष्टीने प्रत्येक विभागाने आपल्या कामाच्या स्पष्ट कालमर्यादा आणि निर्देशक निश्चित करावेत, असे मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस यांनी निर्देश दिले.

या व्हिजनसाठी उपलब्ध निधीमध्येच काम करून नव्या कार्यपद्धतीचा वापर करत अपेक्षित परिणाम साध्य केले गेले पाहिजेत. त्याचबरोबर, केंद्र सरकारच्या योजनांमधून (Central Sector आणि Centrally Sponsored Schemes) जास्तीत जास्त निधी मिळवण्यासाठी विभागांनी सक्रिय प्रयत्न करावेत, असे निर्देशही मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस यांनी दिले.

PPP, ADB, World Bank यांसारख्या विविध स्रोतांमधून निधी मिळवण्यासाठी सक्षम आणि तयार प्रकल्प आवश्यक आहेत. तसेच धोरण जाहीर केल्यानंतर सहा महिने आणि वर्षभरानंतर त्याचा प्रत्यक्ष परिणाम तपासला पाहिजे. धोरण निर्मिती आणि अंमलबजावणीच्या परिणामांचे मोजमाप आवश्यक आहे. यासाठी सर्व धोरणे मोजता येण्यायोग्य निर्देशकांवर आधारित असावीत, असे मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस म्हणाले.

सर्व विभागांनी आपले ॲक्शन प्लॅन वित्त विभागासोबत समन्वय साधून 30 एप्रिलपर्यंत अंतिम करावेत. पुढील काळात सर्व प्रगतीचे डायनॅमिक मॉनिटरिंग डॅशबोर्डद्वारे केले जाईल. यामुळे प्रत्येक विभागाच्या कामाची नियमित आणि पारदर्शक समीक्षा होईल. या आराखड्याची प्रभावी अंमलबजावणी हा आता पुढचा महत्वाचा टप्पा असणार आहे. 'विकसित महाराष्ट्र 2047' हे स्वप्न प्रत्यक्षात आणण्यासाठी सर्व विभागांनी समन्वयाने आणि जबाबदारीने काम करण्याचे निर्देश मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी दिले.

यावेळी मंत्री चंद्रकांत पाटील, मंत्री पंकजा मुंडे, मंत्री शिवेंद्रसिंहराजे भोसले, मंत्री जयकुमार गोरे, मंत्री अतुल सावे, मंत्री दत्तात्रय भरणे, राज्यमंत्री ॲड. आशिष जयस्वाल व वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित होते.
