A historic day at St. Catherine's Monastery in Sinai as the monks celebrated Archbishop Symeon as their Abbot. Ambassador Herro Mustafa Garg and I joined the celebration, a moment of unity and hope, marking a new path forward for the oldest continuously operating monastery in the world. We proudly reaffirm our commitment to religious freedom and the preservation of Egypt's rich cultural heritage.
I was delighted to visit Northern Greece, meet with business leaders and discuss how we can open markets for U.S. businesses and increase Greek investment in the U.S. I also met with our fantastic @USConsulateThess team in Thessaloniki - gateway to the Balkans and a key Greek economic and technology hub. This trip has underscored the strategic and cultural significance of northern Greece, and its vital role in the U.S.-Greece relationship.
It was a pleasure meeting with @IsraelMFA to discuss the President’s Peace Plan for Gaza and our shared commitment to regional stability. The U.S. reaffirms our strong support for religious freedom and the protection of Christian communities.
