🔆الـ Ramus of mandible (فرع الفك السفلي) هو الجزء العمودي الصاعد من Mandible. يعد من أهم أجزاء الفك لأنه يربط جسم الفك السفلي ببقية عظام الجمجمة ويسمح بالحركات الأساسية للفم مثل المضغ والكلام.

🔅The Ramus of mandible is the vertical ascending part of the Mandible. It is one of the most important components of the jaw because it connects the body of the mandible to the rest of the skull and allows essential mouth movements such as chewing and speaking.

🔆ما هو Ramus of mandible؟ – What is the Ramus of the Mandible?

🔅هو صفيحة عظمية عمودية تصعد من جسم الفك السفلي. يمتلك كل إنسان فرعين للفك السفلي، واحد في كل جهة (اليمنى واليسرى).

🔅وظيفته الأساسية هي ربط الفك السفلي بقاعدة الجمجمة وتوفير مناطق لارتباط عضلات المضغ.

🔅It is a vertical bony plate that rises from the body of the mandible. Every person has two rami of the mandible, one on each side (right and left).

🔅Its primary function is to connect the mandible to the base of the skull and provide attachment sites for the muscles of mastication.

🔆أهم وظائفه – Main Functions

• 🔅حركة المضغ – Mastication
يعمل كرافعة لعضلات المضغ مثل Masseter muscle و Temporalis muscle، مما يسمح للفك بإنتاج قوة مضغ قد تصل إلى 500–700 نيوتن.
It acts as a mechanical lever for the muscles of mastication such as the Masseter muscle and Temporalis muscle, enabling the jaw to generate chewing forces that may reach 500–700 newtons.

• 🔅تشكيل الوجه – Facial Structure
يساهم في تحديد عرض الفك وزاويته، لذلك يلعب دوراً مهماً في شكل الوجه وتناسقه.
It contributes to determining the width and angle of the jaw, playing an important role in facial shape and symmetry.

• 🔅حماية الأعصاب – Nerve Protection
يمر داخله Inferior alveolar nerve المسؤول عن الإحساس في الأسنان السفلية والشفة السفلى والذقن.
The Inferior alveolar nerve passes through it and provides sensation to the lower teeth, lower lip, and chin.

• 🔅أهمية سريرية – Clinical Importance
يعتمد تخدير الأسنان السفلية Inferior alveolar nerve block على تحديد Mandibular foramen الموجود على السطح الداخلي للـ ramus.
Lower dental anesthesia using the Inferior alveolar nerve block depends on locating the Mandibular foramen on the medial surface of the ramus.

🔆كما يستخدم في جراحة تصحيح الفكين مثل Sagittal split ramus osteotomy.
It is also used in corrective jaw surgery such as Sagittal split ramus osteotomy.

🔆Temporal bone

🔅The temporal bone is a paired bone located on each side of the skull. It forms part of the lateral wall and the base of the skull and protects important structures of the middle and inner ear, which are responsible for hearing and balance. It also participates in jaw movement by forming the temporomandibular joint with the mandible, and its zygomatic process contributes to the formation of the zygomatic arch.

🔅العظم الصدغي هو عظم زوجي يقع على جانبي الجمجمة، ويكوّن جزءًا من الجدار الجانبي وقاعدة الجمجمة. كما يحمي تراكيب الأذن الوسطى والداخلية المسؤولة عن السمع والتوازن، ويشارك في حركة الفك من خلال تكوين المفصل الفكي الصدغي مع الفك السفلي، كما يساهم الناتئ الوجني له في تكوين القوس الوجني.

🔅الأجزاء الرئيسية للعظم الصدغي

🔅Squamous part: a thin, flat portion forming part of the lateral wall of the skull and giving rise to the zygomatic process.
🔅الجزء الحرشفي: جزء رقيق ومسطح يكوّن جزءًا من الجدار الجانبي للجمجمة ويعطي الناتئ الوجني.

Tympanic part: surrounds the external acoustic meatus.
🔅الجزء الطبلي: يحيط بفتحة القناة السمعية الخارجية.

🔅Mastoid part: contains mastoid air cells and provides attachment for neck muscles.
🔅الجزء الخُشّائي: يحتوي على خلايا هوائية ويشكّل موقع ارتباط لبعض عضلات الرقبة.

🔅Petrous part: the densest part of the bone and houses inner ear structures such as the cochlea and vestibular apparatus.
🔅الجزء الصخري: أكثر أجزاء العظم صلابة ويحتوي على تراكيب الأذن الداخلية مثل القوقعة وجهاز التوازن.
