Avete fatto qualcosa che va oltre il lavoro: avete rappresentato l’Italia, ovunque nel mondo. Chi non è stato con voi, vi invidierà per sempre, per non aver fatto parte di questa impresa.
Questa non è solo un’esperienza professionale; è un onore che porterete nel cuore per tutta la vita.
E l’avete vissuta, anzi, l’abbiamo vissuta insieme.”

Другий обмін за останні два дні в межах домовленостей у Стамбулі.
Сьогоднішній – проводимо репатріацію тяжкопоранених і тяжкохворих військовополонених, що передбачено нормами міжнародного гуманітарного права та чітко закріплено у ІІІ Женевській конвенції.
Продовжуємо працювати щодня, щоб кожен і кожна, хто потрапив у полон, повернулися на Батьківщину. Держава не забуває про жодного воїна.
Повернемо всіх🇺🇦

USS Gettysburg (CG 64) returned to @NAV_STA_NORFOLK, June 6, following an eight-month deployment with the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group (HSTCSG). The HSTCSG operated across @US5thFleet and @USNavyEurope area of operations, conducting combat operations in the Red Sea and exercises with @NATO Allies. While deployed, HSTCSG completed more than 13,000 sorties and 25,000 flight hours, and the ships sailed over 240,000 nautical miles combined.
