Il Consiglio dei Ministri, su proposta del Ministro @GuidoCrosetto, ha deliberato la nomina del Generale di Corpo d’Armata Massimo Mennitti a Vicecomandante Generale dell’Arma dei Carabinieri.

“Al Generale Mennitti rivolgo i miei più sinceri auguri per questo incarico. La sua lunga esperienza e la profonda conoscenza dell’Istituzione rappresentano una solida garanzia. Sono certo che saprà svolgere il suo ruolo con competenza ed equilibrio, offrendo un apporto concreto all’azione dell’Arma al servizio dei cittadini, nel solco dei valori che la contraddistinguono. Un sentito ringraziamento al Generale di Corpo d’Armata Marco Minicucci per l’impegno e la dedizione con cui ha ricoperto il prestigioso incarico di Vicecomandante Generale, assicurando un prezioso contributo all’Istituzione”. Foreign Minister Wang Yi spoke with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the phone.

Wang Yi noted that head-of-state diplomacy has always been the anchor of the China-U.S. relationship. Under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Trump, the relationship has remained stable on the whole. This serves the fundamental interests of the two peoples and is in line with the expectation of the international community.

The two sides should maintain the hard-earned stability, make good preparations for the important agenda for high-level interactions, expand cooperation and manage differences, and explore the building of a strategic, constructive, and stable China-U.S. relationship, so as to achieve mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation.
