The Joint Task Force-National Capital Region (JTF-NCR) states that the UH-60 “Black Hawk” Helicopter which crashed earlier at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, was with the 12th Aviation Battalion and was taking part in a Training Exercise at the time of the Crash.

At least 19 Bodies have so far been recovered from the Potomac, following the Mid-Air Collision at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport; with an Emergency Official stating that No Survivors have been found yet by Search-and-Rescue Teams.

D.C. Fire and EMS Chief John Donnelly has said that over 300 first responders are now operating under a “unified command” from multiple agencies and departments, including the U.S. Coast Guard, to respond to the scene of the mid-air collision at Reagan Washington National Airport.

UPDATE: Airport Officials have now stated that the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport will remain closed until at least 11:00am on Thursday, it’s not known if this is a change from the FAA’s Statement earlier, which stated the Airport would be closed till at least 5:00am on Friday.
