Video showing elements of Russia’s Africa Corps withdrawing from Kidal, Mali, follows yesterday’s ultimatum to Russian forces in-country put out by Jama'at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM).

According to Axios, citing a U.S. official, Israel sent an Iron Dome battery, manned by Israel Defense Force troops, to the United Arab Emirates to assist air defense efforts against Iran in the early days of the conflict. Per the report, the move came after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with the Emirati President on the phone and the battery subsequently intercepted “dozens of Iranian missiles.” This is the first time the system has been used outside of Israel and the United States.

Cole Thomas Allen, 31, the shooter in last night’s attempted terrorist attack on the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, wrote a “manifesto” that has since been found by federal law enforcement in which he stated his plans to target Trump administration officials, “prioritized from highest-ranking to lowest,” according to a copy obtained by CBS News. 

In his manifesto, Allen stated that he would not target members of the U.S. Secret Service, Capitol Police or National Guard, along with hotel employees and guests, but that he would still attack them to get to the administration, adding: “I really hope it doesn't come to that.” Allen also said that he would specifically not attack FBI Director Kash Patel, who was also attending the dinner at the Washington Hilton.

“PS,” Allen said in the manifesto, “Ok now that all the sappy stuff is done, what the hell is the Secret Service doing? … No damn security. Not in transport. Not in the hotel. Not in the event.” He said that if he had been an Iranian agent, he could have brought in a machine gun, which he referred to as “Ma Deuce,” and no one would have noticed. 

Speaking today on 60 Minutes, President Donald J. Trump said that he “wasn’t making it that easy” for and likely slowed down the Secret Service as they tried to evacuate him during last night’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington.

Interviewer: “The so-called manifesto is a stunning thing to read, Mr. President. He appears to reference a motive in it. He writes this quote, ‘Administration officials, they are targets.’ And he also wrote this, ‘I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes.’ What's your reaction to that?”

President Trump: “Well, I was waiting for you to read that because I knew you would because you're horrible people. Horrible people. Yeah, he did write that. I'm not a rapist. I didn't rape anybody. I'm not a pedophile.”

Interviewer: “Do you think he was referring to you?”

President Trump: “Excuse me. I'm not a pedophile. You read that crap from some sick person. I got associated with stuff that has nothing to do with me. I was totally exonerated. Your friends on the other side of the plate are the ones that were involved with, let's say, Epstein or other things. But I said to myself, you know, I'll do this interview and they'll probably... I read the manifesto. You know, he's a sick person. But... You should be ashamed of yourself reading that because I'm not any of those things. You're a disgrace. But go ahead. Let's finish the interview. You're disgraceful.”

Iranian officials have presented the United States a new proposal, via Pakistani mediators, to end the Iran War and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, with nuclear negotiations postponed for a later stage, according to a U.S. official and two sources with knowledge who spoke to Axios.

During his interview with 60 Minutes, President Trump defended the actions of the U.S. Secret Service as well as what the shooter called in his manifesto “incompetent” security measures at last night’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, stating:

“Well, he was pretty incompetent too because he got caught. And he got caught pretty easily. So I'd say he was pretty incompetent too. You know, I could take any event having to do with security or anything else. I can always find fault. Those guys did a good job last night. They did a really good job.”

According to a release from U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), the U.S. blockade of vessels traveling to and from Iranian ports has redirected or directed to turn back a total of 38 cargo vessels and oil tankers since it began on April 13, 2026.

According to a release from U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), at the direction of SOUTHCOM Commander General Francis L. Donovan, Joint Task Force - Southern Spear (JTF-SS) conducted a strike on a vessel operated by a designated terrorist organization in the Eastern Pacific. The vessel was operating in known trafficking routes. Three narco-terrorists were killed in the strike by SOUTHCOM.
