After a Canadair Regional Jet CRJ-700 collided with a military H-60 helicopter near Reagan Washington National Airport, an unnamed official from the U.S. Army has confirmed that an Army helicopter was indeed the helicopter involved in the crash.

According to Reuters, an Official has stated that there were No Senior Military Officials onboard the “Black Hawk” Helicopter which crashed earlier at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport near D.C.

Fox News quoted a recording of air traffic control communications at the time of the CRJ-700 airliner-Army H-60 helicopter collision:

ATC to the Army H-60: “Do you have the CRJ in sight.”
The crash apparently happened directly after.
