Former U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (NJ-D) has just been sentenced to 11 years in prison for his bribery scheme enacted while he headed the Senate Foreign Relations Committee (SFRC). Menendez was accused and convicted of taking various monies and assets, including gold bars and a luxury car, in exchange for acting on behalf of domestic entities and foreign governments, including Egypt and Qatar.

Syrian media outlets are reporting that the transitional governmentโ€™s Military Operational Directorate has now announced that the former leader of Hayโ€™at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) Ahmed al-Sharaa has now officially been named as president of the transitional government until a legislative body and constitution can be put in place.

The leader of Syria, Ahmed al-Sharaa (Al-Jolani) gave a speech today for a gathering of all the leaders of opposition groups throughout the country. During the speech he announced the dissolution of all armed groups and political factions. No word on any deals and/or progress relating to the presence of Russia at a number of key bases in Syria, but it is assumed that negotiations are ongoing.

According to the secretary, this would likely include continuing the temporary housing of other illegal immigrants set to be repatriated to their home countries.

Soldiers with the 192nd Quartermaster Company of the U.S. Army Reserveโ€™s 310th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, patrol the U.S-Mexico Border near Santa Teresa, New Mexico, in support of U.S. Northern Command and Homeland Security. The 192nd was deployed to the Southern Border last October, in order to support the 489th Engineer Battalion.

Several Agencies are responding, with a number of Fireboats having already arrived at the Site of the Crash, to begin Search-and-Rescue Operations.

Reports are suggesting that the Aircraft involved in the Crash at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, is PSA Airlines Flight 5342, a Canadair Regional Jet CRJ-700 operated by PSA, a Regional Airline operated by American. The Flight was landing at the Airport, after flying from Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport in Wichita, Kansas. Up to 60 Passengers are said to have been onboard the Aircraft.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has confirmed that a PSA Airlines Bombardier CRJ-700 regional jet was involved in a mid-air collision with a military Sikorsky H-60 helicopter while on approach to a runway at Reagan Washington International Airport.
