Georgia State Senator Colton Moore was arrested and taken to Fulton County Jail after attempting to enter the state house chambers during Governor Brian Kemp's State Address, despite being banned. The ban followed Moore’s 2023 remarks calling the late House Speaker David Ralston "one of the most corrupt Georgia leaders we’ll ever see in our lifetime." Footage shows Moore being thrown to the ground as he told officers, "I have an obligation to be in that room. I represent 200,000 people in Northwest Georgia who duly elected me to be here today." Moore’s team called the arrest politically motivated, noting he was detained in the same jail where Trump was previously held.

At Secretary of State Antony Blinken's final press conference, chaos erupted after an Israel-Hamas cease-fire and hostage deal was announced. Journalists Max Blumenthal and Sam Husseini, both critical of the ongoing war in Gaza and the U.S. position, Husseini was forcibly removed by State Department aides and security. Husseini accused Blinken of allowing "genocide" in Gaza, while Blumenthal challenged Blinken on why the war hadn't ended sooner. Blinken was presenting a cease-fire agreement, which includes the release of hostages, a withdrawal of Israeli forces, and humanitarian aid.
