Bloomberg is now reporting that two commercial oil tankers were struck by Iranian projectiles yesterday evening while transiting the Strait of Hormuz outbound.

The report confirms that the Saudi Arabian-owned very large crude carrier (VLCC) Sidr was struck while transiting the Strait. Automatic Identification System (AIS) data from MarineTraffic.com shows the Sidr subsequently slowing to a near-complete stop and beginning to drift in Omani waters.

Bloomberg also reports that the Liberian flagged, South Korean owned tanker Senegal Prosperity was struck by three projectiles while making its outbound transit through the Strait.

The German government is expected to declare today that Russia was behind the drone incident in Leipzig, with German officials set to announce later this afternoon that the investigation has indeed found links to Russian intelligence.

The explosive-laden drones were found near Ukrainian cargo aircraft l, and the incident, long thought to be connected to Russia, has been under investigation.

According to German authorities, today, the same day that Germany is expected to publicly connect Russia to a last explosive drone incident in Leipzig, the Jänschwalde power station in Eastern Germany came under attack from ‘rockets’ causing a brief interruption of power supply to surrounding areas, which has since been restored. According to German authorities, additional explosive devises were found nearby, with speculation being that the devices paired with the rockets may have been meant to cause widespread power outages. While the facility has been targeted by activists in the past, the incident falling on the same day that prior attacks are meant to be publicly connected to Russia is notable.

Multiple reports of explosions in Bandar Abbas, Iran have begun emerging over the last several minutes. This is the current visible U.S. Air Force presence in the region as of 1623UTC. Both KC-135s appear to be departing the area after providing fuel for aircraft on patrol or engaging in the strike.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed that U.S. forces began striking Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran today at 12 p.m. ET following attacks against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. At least three commercial vessels have been struck by Iranian projectiles in the last 48 hours.

President Donald J. Trump has posted to Truth Social stating that the U.S. is striking Iranian targets near the Strait of Hormuz in retaliation for their "failed attempt at adding sea mines to the Strait, which currently has no mines...and the Iranians shooting eight missiles, all successfully knocked down, at our Military Base in Jordan."

President Trump goes on to say that if Iran retaliates for this attack, "they will be hit again at a much harder and higher level, but it will not be the biggest attack of them all, that is waiting in the wings and, when it is over, there will be very little left of the Islamic Republic of Iran!"

Following ballistic missile launches from Iran, drone and/or ballistic missile impacts have been reported in Erbil, Iraq.

Several flights inbound to the airport in the Jordanian capital of Amman are currently holding and manuevering away from the airport. A short time ago, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced they had begun launching their retaliation for tonight's U.S. strikes.

Jordan has issued alerts to its citizens to shelter in expectation of incoming Iranian ballistic missiles.

Footage reportedly shows an Iranian ballistic missile impact in Aqaba, Jordan, amidst ongoing reciprocal strikes between the U.S. and Iran.

Pro-Iranian outlets have reported that Iran has vowed to target Kuwait and Bahrain, who they see as complicit in U.S. strikes against them. However, at the time of writing no alerts in either country have been reported, with Jordan currently bearing the brunt of Iranian retaliatory fires.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force has claimed that during strikes earlier against Jordan, the U.S. Marine Corps base, Camp Titin, outside of Aqaba, Jordan, was targeted in the attack. At the time of writing no reports of U.S. casualties has surfaced.

The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces has announced that air defenses are currently responding to hostile drone threats, likely of Iranian origin.

Kuwait is again saying that their armed forces are dealing with the threat of Iranian ballistic missiles and drones, mere minutes after the last alert.

According to a release from U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), they have completed the wave of strikes against Iran, with air defense sites, radar systems, maritime assets and facilities, mine laying capabilities, and communications sites all being targeted in the strikes. Per the release, the strikes are in response to attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and the targeting of U.S. service members in the region.
