The War Zone reports Boeing has taken another $280 million loss on the VC-25B Air Force One program, pushing the company's total losses above $3 billion under its fixed price contract with the U.S. Air Force. Boeing says the additional investment is intended to keep the program on track for the first aircraft delivery in 2028, roughly four years later than originally planned.

The report also follows last week's announcement that the interim VC-25B "Bridge" aircraft, converted by L3Harris from a donated Qatari 747-8, will be removed from service for about a month to receive additional upgrades after concerns emerged about its defensive and mission capabilities. The War Zone has previously reported that the Bridge aircraft lacks some capabilities planned for the production VC-25Bs, while President Trump recently said its capabilities would be "maxed out."

Separately, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) reported in June that the government's estimated acquisition cost has increased from $6.263 billion to $6.608 billion, underscoring the continued schedule delays, technical challenges, and rising costs surrounding the long-running replacement of the Air Force's aging VC-25A fleet.

According to a new Center For Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) analysis, the U.S. now has roughly 827 Patriot and 278 Terminal High Altitude Air Defense (THAAD) interceptors remaining, down from an estimated 2,330 and 452, respectively.

Analysts warn replenishing these high-end missile inventories could take years, despite expanded production efforts, leaving limited capacity for other major contingencies if demand remains high.

CNN reports Pentagon sources say those estimates are close to internal figures.

The Wall Street Journal reports that President Donald J. Trump is weighing whether to resume major combat operations against Iran following Tuesday's missile attack on U.S. forces, with CENTCOM Commander Adm. Brad Cooper presenting an option for 10–14 days of intensive airstrikes aimed at crippling Iran's remaining missile capabilities.

According to the Journal, Cooper argues a larger offensive would reduce Iran's ability to launch future attacks and lessen the long-term demand for U.S. air defense interceptors. By contrast, Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine has warned that dwindling interceptor stockpiles increase the risks of a renewed campaign, though they would not prevent one.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that U.S. forces conducted a heavy wave of strikes against dozens of IRGC targets across Iran at approximately 10 p.m. ET, describing the operation as a response to Iran's attempted ballistic missile attack on U.S. forces in Jordan yesterday.

According to CENTCOM, the strikes targeted military command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and defense sites, and maritime capabilities to further reduce threats to U.S. forces, commercial shipping, and regional partners.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims that, in response to last night's U.S. strikes on Iran, it launched an attack against Muwaffaq al Salti Air Base in Jordan.

According to the IRGC, the strike damaged or destroyed six F-35 fighter aircraft and inflicted an unspecified number of U.S. casualties.

As with previous IRGC battlefield claims, these assertions should be treated with caution. The organization has a history of issuing exaggerated or inflated damage assessments during conflicts. As of this post, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has not confirmed any attacks on U.S. forces in response to last night's strikes, nor has it acknowledged any losses at Muwaffaq al Salti Air Base.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has issued a fact check disputing several claims made earlier today by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Specifically, CENTCOM rejects IRGC assertions that the Strait of Hormuz is unsafe for commercial shipping, that multiple U.S. military aircraft, including three F-35 fighter jets, have been destroyed, and that the motor tanker Nora successfully breached the U.S. naval blockade of Iran.

CENTCOM stated that each of those claims is false, describing them as part of an ongoing Iranian disinformation effort surrounding military operations in the region.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has released an update on the ongoing naval blockade of Iran, accompanied by video of U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon 169544, as identified by SR_Planespotter on X. The aircraft is assigned to Patrol Squadron 16 (VP-16), the "War Eagles," based at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida.

According to CENTCOM, U.S. forces have redirected 30 commercial vessels, boarded two to verify compliance, and disabled two that allegedly failed to comply with blockade directives.

This P-8A Poseidon is equipped with the AN/APS-154 Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS), providing wide-area maritime and ground surveillance, as well as the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), enabling near real-time transmission of intelligence to higher headquarters and allies. The aircraft is seen operating off the coast of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on July 20, 2026.

President Donald J. Trump announced that the Board of Peace has reached what he described as a "historic" agreement for the complete disarmament of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza.

The Board of Peace is a U.S.-led international organization established earlier this year to oversee post-conflict stabilization, reconstruction, and governance in Gaza under Trump's broader peace plan. According to Trump, the agreement will be implemented in phases, with Hamas disarming, Israeli forces withdrawing as benchmarks are met, and an International Stabilization Force working alongside a new Palestinian police force under a new Palestinian government.

Trump also credited Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey for their mediation efforts, calling the agreement a major milestone in his 20-Point Plan and stating that Gaza "will no longer be used as a base for terror attacks."

Current Board of Peace members include: United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, Morocco, Kuwait, Pakistan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Vietnam, Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Hungary, Kosovo, Argentina, and Paraguay.
