U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced it concluded another round of strikes against Iran at 9:00 p.m. ET on July 20, targeting military command centers, maritime capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and air defense systems for the tenth consecutive night intending to degrade Iran's ability to attack commercial shipping transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

According to CENTCOM, since early May, U.S. forces have helped facilitate the safe passage of approximately 900 commercial vessels carrying an estimated 450 million barrels of crude oil through the strategic waterway.

CENTCOM added that U.S. forces remain postured to respond to further Iranian aggression against civilian maritime traffic.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has issued an updated advisory on the reported attack against a vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, stating that the crew has now abandoned ship.

According to @_MartinKelly_ , the vessel is the Kuwaiti-owned motor tanker 'Kaifan'.

Iran has claimed responsibility for the attack and has also asserted that it struck a second vessel, setting it ablaze.

Former Ukrainian Defense Ministry official Serhii Sterneko has now said that embattled Ukrainian Armed Forces commander Olesksandr Syrskyi has been dismissed, amidst an ongoing political spate between himself, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
