U.S. Naval Forces Central Command / U.S. 5th Fleet has announced it has suspended the search for the remaining missing crew member following the July 1 crash of an MH-60S Seahawk in the Arabian Sea.

Over the course of the 102-hour search, U.S. Navy aircraft and ships covered more than 14,000 square miles. Three crew members were rescued shortly after the emergency water landing and remain in stable condition.

The identity of the missing service member is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The Navy has previously stated there are no indications the crash was the result of hostile fire.

White House officials have told a number of news outlets, including Asharq News and NewsNation, that U.S. President Donald J. Trump will meet with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky this week on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Ankara, Turkey. This comes as Russo-Ukrainian peace/ceasefire efforts have come to nil and President Trump has increasingly signaled Syria’s growing role in the local region.
