In a post on his Truth Social app, U.S. President Donald J. According to the Wall Street Journal, citing a senior U.S. official, the AH-64 Apache that went down near the Strait of Hormuz was conducting operations in support of the U.S. mission to guide commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. Per the report, the Apache was ‘defending ships in the waterway from Iranian drones and missiles.’
Additionally, after the helicopter went down, the two crewmembers were able to able to get the canopy off of the airframe just before the aircraft sank and escape.

The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has announced a full and complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz affecting all traffic and has attacked two ships that were attempting to transit the Strait without their permission.

Trump spoke from the Situation Room earlier with Fox News’ Trey Yingst, telling him that 49 BGM-109 Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles (TLAM) have so far been fired at targets in Iran, along with strikes by fighter aircraft, with some strikes occurring only miles from the Iranian capital of Tehran. President Trump added that he spoke directly with Iranian officials tonight who asked him to stop bombing, stating that the strikes will stop soon and if they don't sign the agreement, “we'll bomb the shit out of them.”

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that its forces completed an additional wave of self-defense strikes overnight, June 10, against targets in Iran, at the direction of the Commander-in-Chief, President Donald J. Trump. According to CENTCOM, U.S. Marine Corps, Air Force, and Navy assets fired precision munitions on Iranian targets that posed a threat to U.S. forces and international commercial ships transiting regional waters, including military surveillance capabilities, communication systems, and air defense sites across Iran.
