Following up on the statement on the Nigerian operation by U.S. President Donald J. Trump, U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) also released a statement announcing the joint U.S.-Nigerian operation that killed ISIS leader Abu-Bilal-al-Minuki and other Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) decision-makers. Ford Carrier Strike Group and personnel of Carrier Strike Group Twelve (CSG-12) have been awarded the Presidential Unit Citation for their service in the Middle East during the recent Iran War.
