Trump, the U.S. Navy and other military forces will begin a blockade against vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports and coastal areas, including all Iranian ports on the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman. CENTCOM additionally states that the blockade will not impede freedom of navigation for vessels transiting to and from Non-Iranian ports via the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, says in a post earlier on X that this weekend’s peace talks in Islamabad were “not an event but a process,” providing a much more optimistic view of the recent talks than U.S. Vice President JD Vance and other Iranian officials, stating that the talks “laid the foundation” of a future peace agreement with the United States.
