Three additional B-52H “Stratofortress” Long-Range Strategic Bombers with the U.S. Air Force’s 5th Bomb Wing, based out of Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, landed early Friday at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, England, joining 12 B-1B Lancers and 3 other B-52H Stratofortresses that have been forward deployed to the United Kingdom as part of Operation Epic Fury.

According to a report from Breaking Defense, the U.S. Navy has officially delayed the decommissioning of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN-68) until at least March of 2027 in order to maintain a fleet size of 11 active carriers. Its replacement will be the USS John F. Kennedy (CVN-79), which is scheduled to be delivered to the Navy in mid-2027.
