The U.S. Navy has refused near-daily requests from the oil and shipping industries for military escorts through the Strait of Hormuz since the start of Operation Epic Fury, the ongoing strike campaign against Iran, saying the risk of attacks is too high for now, according to sources familiar with the matter who spoke to Reuters.

The UK Office of Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) is reporting an attack on a container vessel in the Persian Gulf, roughly 25NM northwest of Ras Al-Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates. The vessel reportedly sustained damage from a suspected but unknown projectile, with the extent of the damage still not known.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has issued a statement warning civilians in Iran to immediately avoid all port facilities where Iranian naval forces are operating. Norwegian Police announced Wednesday that they had apprehended three suspects for their involvement in Sunday’s bombing at the U.S. Embassy in Oslo, which caused damage to the entrance of the embassy’s consular section but no injuries. The suspects, three brothers in their 20s from Iraq, were not previously known to police and have not yet been questioned, with an investigation ongoing to determine if the brothers have links to any terror groups or if the attack was related to the ongoing conflict with Iran.

According to CBS, the Iranian drone strike that killed 6 U.S. soldiers in Kuwait seriously injured more U.S. servicemembers than was previously reported. According to the report, the Iranian strike, which took place in the initial round of reciprocal strikes between the U.S., Israel, and Iran, left soldiers with a myriad of injuries, including brain trauma, shrapnel wounds, and burns. Per the report, more than 30 servicemembers remain in hospitals with battle injuries from the strike. One at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, 12 at Walter Reed Medical Center in suburban Washington, D.C., and about 25 at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.
