The New York City Police Department (NYPD) has announced the death of Officer Sorffly Davius, a Major in the U.S. Army’s 42nd Infantry Division under the New York National Guard, who the NYPD reports passed away Friday as a result of a “medical episode” while deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Epic Fury.

Besides the 6 U.S. Army Soldiers killed last Sunday by an Iranian drone strike in Kuwait, who were returned to the United States for the final time early Saturday, Major Davius is the only other death revealed so far during the ongoing conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran, with his death having not yet been announced by the U.S. Department of Defense or Central Command (CENTCOM).
