The Polish National Security Bureau has stated President Karol Nawrocki is being kept informed of all violations of Poland’s Airspace tonight by Russian one-way attack drones, added “We ask you to follow the announcements and rely on information coming from the strategic commands of the Polish Armed Forces and services. We express immense gratitude to all those involved in protecting Polish skies. We also ask everyone to remain calm.”

It’s appears this may just be people returning to Caracas from tonight’s “Venezuela vs Colombia” World Cup Qualifier in Maturin, which Columbia won 6-3.

The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces has stated that during tonight’s attack by Russia against Ukraine there was an “unprecedented violation of Polish Airspace by drone-type objects,” adding that this is an “act of aggression that posed a real threat to the safety of our citizens.” Additionally, they confirm that Polish and allied assets radar-tracked several objects, and that the decision was made to neutralize those that could pose a threat. Several of the drones that entered Polish Airspace were then shot down, with efforts underway to search for and locate the possible crash sites of these objects in Eastern Poland.

Full statement from the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces:

“As a result of attack by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian territory, there was an unprecedented violation of Polish airspace by drone-type objects. This is an act of aggression that posed a real threat to the safety of our citizens.

On the order of the Operational Commander of the Polish Armed Forces, defensive procedures were immediately activated.

Polish and allied assets radar-tracked several objects, and the Operational Commander of the Polish Armed Forces made decisions to neutralize those that could pose a threat. Some of the drones that entered our airspace were shot down. Efforts are underway to search for and locate the possible crash sites of these objects.

The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces is monitoring the current situation, and Polish and allied forces and assets remain fully prepared for further actions.”

Statement from Chopin International Airport in the Polish capital of Warsaw, which remains closed due to ongoing military operations, with the Notice-to-Airmen (NOTAM) over Warsaw and Eastern Poland having been extended until at least 0430 UTC.

Following tonight’s incident involving Russian one-way attack drones entering Eastern Poland, the Polish Territorial Defense Force has shortened the times needed for defense personnel to be prepared to report for active service, with personnel in the Podlaskie, Mazowieckie, Lubelskie, Podkarpackie Voivodeships required to be ready within six hours, personnel in the central regions should be ready within twelve hours, and those in Western Poland do not need to be prepared for call-up by the Territorial Defense Force.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk: “I received a report from the Operational Commander of the Armed Forces Branches regarding the downing of drones that intruded into our airspace and could have posed a threat. The operation is ongoing.”

Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk states that he has spoken with and is in constant contact with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, as tonight’s major intrusion of Russian one-way attack drones into Eastern Poland continues.

Ukrainian monitoring channels have published a map showing the routes taken by one-way attack drones as well as air and surface-launched cruise missiles fired by Russia during tonight’s attack against Poland and Ukraine.

The airspace remains closed over the Polish capital of Warsaw.

Jaron Limnell, Member of the Finnish Parliament: “When NATO airspace is violated, the entire alliance is involved. This is not about an individual incident but an action that tests NATO's response threshold. An unintentional deviation? Unlikely, as there were several violations and they occurred at the same time as Russia's airstrike in Ukraine.”

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is currently meeting with defense and security officials to discuss tonight’s major intrusion by several Russian drones into Poland, with him expected to convene an “extraordinary session” of the Council of Ministers at 8:00am CEST.

The Polish General Staff warns people against approaching, touching, or moving any downed drones or fragments found in Eastern Poland, instructing them to instead call 112 or notify the Police.

Police have reportedly discovered the wreckage of a Russian one-Way attack drone, the first one found so far, near the village of Czosnówka in Eastern Poland, roughly 15 miles from the border with Belarus.

In connection with the situation regarding tonight’s violation of Polish Airspace by Russia, the Lublin Provincial Police Commander, Inspector Tomasz Gil, has announced an alert for all police officers with the Lublin Garrison.

The airspace over Chopin International Airport and the Polish capital of Warsaw has been reopened, following last night’s drone intrusion by Russia into Poland.

The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces has announced that the operations of Polish and allied aviation related to violations of Polish Airspace have concluded, while the search and localization of possible impact sites in Eastern Poland are still ongoing.

The Polish Armed Forces thank NATO’s Allied Air Command and the Royal Netherlands Air Force, whose F-35A Lightning lls assisted in securing the skies over Poland. Ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have returned to standard operational activities across Poland.

According to Polish media, one of the Russian one-way attack drones which entered Polish Airspace last night, struck a home within the village of Wyryki in Eastern Poland, damaging the roof and a vehicle on the property though resulting in no injuries.
