The Ukrainian Air Force reports that Russian drones have entered Polish Airspace and are heading in the direction of the city of Zamość.

Reports of possible air-defense activity and NATO fighter jets up over Eastern Poland.

At least three “Shahed” attack drones have reportedly been downed within the last few minutes over Eastern Poland, with additional possibly heading in the direction of Rzeszów and Zamość. Both the Ukrainian Air Force and aircraft with the NATO Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) are working to track and shoot down any remaining drones launched by Russia against Poland.

A NATO Airbus A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT), operated by the Royal Netherlands Air Force, is currently hurrying towards Eastern Poland, likely towing additional fighter aircraft from bases in Germany.

Unverified reports of Russian attack drones also entering the airspace over both Moldova and Slovakia.

An Italian G-550 CAEW (Conformal Airborne Early Warning) Aircraft is now also up near Estonia and heading south towards Eastern Poland.

Either Russia is purposefully testing NATO tonight, or someone screwed up really bad.

Several Polish/NATO fighter jets heard tonight over the city of Lublin in Eastern Poland.

A U.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning ll has just popped up on flight radar over Eastern Poland, squawking 7600 (loss of communication).

The F-35 appears to be linking with the Dutch Airbus A330 for an aerial-refueling over Eastern Poland.

The Polish daily newspaper Fakt: “Restless night over Poland. Russia is carrying out massive attacks on the territory of Ukraine. It was officially stated that Polish and allied aircraft are operating in our space, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have reached a state of peak readiness. There were also some very worrying information, but the military did not confirm them.”

These photos being circulated online claiming to show the site of a Russian drone impact in Eastern Poland are not from tonight, and are instead from a previous drone impact in Poland.

Another Notice-to-Airmen (NOTAM) has been issued for Eastern Poland by the Polish Civil Aviation Authority within the last few minutes, this time for Lublin Airport, stating that the airport is unavailable due to “unplanned military activity related to ensuring state security.”

Fighter jets continue to be heard in the sky over Lublin in Eastern Poland.

Wow, a Notice-to-Airmen (NOTAM) has now also been issued for Warsaw International Airport, once again closing the airport for “unplanned military activity related to ensuring state security.”

The Saab 340 Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) Aircraft with the Polish Air Force that was seen on flight radar earlier over Eastern Poland before “going dark” has now reappeared near Lublin.

Modlin International Airport in the Polish capital of Warsaw is now also closed due to “unplanned military activity related to ensuring state security.” Both major airports in Warsaw are under NOTAMs.

Republican Rep. Joe Wilson, a Ranking Member on the House Committee on Armed Services, states that, “Russia is attacking NATO ally Poland with Iranian shahed drones less than a week after President Trump hosted President Nawrocki at the White House. This is an act of war, and we are grateful to NATO allies for their swift response to war criminal Putin’s continued unprovoked aggression against free and productive nations.”

The airport and airspace closures over the Polish capital of Warsaw appear to have possibly been lifted, with commercial flights that were previously holding over Western Poland continuing on now to both Modlin and Warszawa International Airports in Warsaw.

Several Tu-95MS “Bear” and other long-range strategic bombers with the Russian Air Force that were noted airborne earlier tonight, appear to have strangely returned to their bases without launching their usual barrage of air-launched cruise missiles against Ukraine. I wonder if this is related to concerns about what happened tonight in Poland?

Whatever did actually happen tonight, something Russia did seriously spooked both Poland and NATO.
