According to Axios, Steve Witkoff, President Trump’s Envoy to the Middle East, delivered a new ceasefire agreement last week to Hamas from the White House, which reportedly includes the release of all remaining hostages on the first day in exchange for a total ceasefire and the end of Israel’s planned operation to occupy the Gaza Strip.

In addition, Israel will release 2500-3000 Palestinian prisoners and detainees held in its prisons, including hundreds serving life sentences for the murder of Israelis.

Once the ceasefire is declared, negotiations would immediately begin on the conditions for ending the war — including Israel’s demands for Hamas’ complete disarmament and Hamas’ demand for a final and total withdrawal of the Israel Defense Force from the Gaza Strip, according to several senior officials with the Israeli Government.

U.S. President Donald J. Trump states in a post on Truth Social that Israel has accepted the term of the ceasefire agreement presented last week by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, adding, “I have warned Hamas about the consequences of not accepting. This is my last warning, there will not be another one!”

In an official statement, Hamas has indicated it is willing to discuss the latest ceasefire agreement from the White House and an end to the ongoing war in Gaza.
