The U.S. State Department has announced that Secretary Marco Rubio has denied and is revoking the visas of members of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Palestinian Authority (PA), including President Mahmoud Abbas, ahead of the upcoming United Nations General Assembly in September. The move is likely a response and an attempt to prevent several countries, including Australia, Canada, France, and the United Kingdom, from recognizing the State of Palestine during next month’s U.N. General Assembly.

U.S. President Donald J. Trump on Thursday directed the Department of Homeland Security to cancel Secret Service Protection and all other “security-related procedures” for Vice-President Kamala Harris. Most Vice-Presidents receive six months of protection after leaving office, though this period was extended by one year for Harris as a result of an Executive Directive from President Joe Biden, due to threats she had received both during and after the 2024 Election.

The White House has informed Congress it intends to cancel $4.9 Billion that lawmakers had previously approved for foreign aid programs under the State Department and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The Trump Administration is attempting to use a legally untested method known as a “pocket rescission” to unilaterally cancel funding that has already been appropriated by Congress, by waiting so late in the fiscal year to make the request that lawmakers do not have time to reject it before the funding expires, in a move which some have called illegal, both Democrats and Republicans. Republican Sen. Susan Collins, who is currently serving as the Chairwoman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, said in a statement released Friday, “Any effort to rescind appropriated funds without congressional approval is a clear violation of the law.”

Russia is flying surveillance drones over routes that the U.S. military and its allies are using to ferry military supplies through Eastern Germany towards Ukraine, collecting intelligence that could be used to bolster the ongoing sabotage campaign against NATO by the Russian FSB and assist military operations in Ukraine, according to senior officials in Europe and the United States who spoke with the New York Times.

The Russian sabotage campaign against NATO has so far led to fires at warehouses in Britain, an attack against a dam in Norway, attempts to cut cables under the Baltic Sea and an array of other operations, including one which resulted in the arrest of three agents from Ukraine back in May, who the FSB had instructed to send explosives or incendiary devices on cargo planes transiting Germany. Thankfully, the plot was discovered by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), who sent a warning to officials at Germany’s Federal Intelligence Service.

In a 7-4 decision, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has upheld the decision by the lower court, ruling that President Trump’s sweeping global tariffs are unlawful, with the majority stating in an official release after the decision, “We agree that [International Emergency Economic Powers Act's] grant of presidential authority to 'regulate' imports does not authorize the tariffs imposed by the Executive Orders.” In response to the decision, President Trump angrily degraded the Court of Appeals in a post on Truth Social, warning that a court order blocking the tariffs “would literally destroy the United States of America,” and vowing to bring the case before the U.S. Supreme Court.

No there is nothing to suggest that President Trump is dead. It seems like all of this has been spurred by him not being seen publicly since Tuesday and not having any events scheduled for this weekend, which is not evidence of anything other than it being a bit unusual that Trump is not leaving Washington, D.C. for Labor Day Weekend.
