The U.K. Foreign Ministry has summoned the Russian Ambassador following last night’s ballistic missile attack against the British Council Building in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, with Prime Minister Keir Starmer accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of “sabotaging peace” in negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

The E3: consisting of France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, delivered a letter today to the United Nation’s Security Council announcing their intention to activate “snapback measures” for U.N. Sanctions against Iran, for their continued development of their nuclear program and refusal to seriously negotiate with the E3.

The U.S. State Department and Secretary Marco Rubio have applauded today’s announcement by the E3: Britain, France, and Germany, that they intend to impose “snapback sanctions” against Iran, but added that the United States “remains available for direct engagement with Iran — in furtherance of a peaceful, enduring resolution to the Iran nuclear issue.”

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has stated that there will be no meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin, following last night’s missile and drone attack against Kyiv, which resulted in at least 21 deaths and over 100 injuries, as well as damage to the British Council Office and European Union Mission.

Following reports last week that the sale had been secretly approved by the Trump Administration, the U.S. State Department has now announced their approval of a potential sale of 3,350 Extended-Range Attack Munitions (ERAM), a low-cost precision-guided air-launched stand-off missile-bomb system with a range of roughly 250 miles, to Ukraine for an estimated $825 Million.

Speaking earlier during a press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that President Trump was “not happy” but also “not surprised,” with last night’s large-scale Russian missile and drone attack against the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, which appeared to primarily target residential and civil structures, resulting in the death of at least 21. Leavitt stated that President Trump will make a statement later on Russia and Ukraine.

Chances of a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2025 have significant dropped within the last week on Polymarket’s betting market, down from its high of over 70% immediately following the meeting between Putin and U.S. President Donald J. Trump, to now only 25%. The chances of a meeting are expected to continue to drop after last night’s ballistic missile attack against Kyiv, with several European leaders stating that there will be no meeting between Putin and Zelensky.

The U.S. State Department has announced that Secretary Marco Rubio has denied and is revoking the visas of members of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Palestinian Authority (PA), including President Mahmoud Abbas, ahead of the upcoming United Nations General Assembly in September. The move is likely a response and an attempt to prevent several countries, including Australia, Canada, France, and the United Kingdom, from recognizing the State of Palestine during next month’s U.N. General Assembly.

U.S. President Donald J. Trump on Thursday directed the Department of Homeland Security to cancel Secret Service Protection and all other “security-related procedures” for Vice-President Kamala Harris. Most Vice-Presidents receive six months of protection after leaving office, though this period was extended by one year for Harris as a result of an Executive Directive from President Joe Biden, due to threats she had received both during and after the 2024 Election.
