Additional details have been released about Ukraine’s new domestically-produced long-range cruise missile, dubbed the FP-5 “Flamingo” which is manufactured by Fire Point. According to an interview with Chief Technical Officer Iryna Terekh, the “Flamingo” has entered serial production with the current capacity to produce one missile per day, with hopes to build roughly seven-per-day by October and enter mass production by January. The CTO of Fire Point also confirmed earlier reports that the missile has a maximum range of 3,000km with a 1,150kg warhead, much bigger than most average cruise missiles and easily able to strike a majority of air and other military bases throughout Russia.

These new long-range cruise missiles being produced by Ukraine are seriously massive, which explains how the warhead is also so large. In comparison, here is a person standing next to an American-produced “Tomahawk” which has a warhead of around 1,000lbs vs a person standing next to a Ukrainian-produced “Flamingo” which carries a warhead of roughly 2,500lbs.

Overnight, during last night’s Russian drone and missile attack against Ukraine, several missiles struck an electronics factory within Mukachevo in the Zakarpattia Oblast of Western Ukraine, which is owned by Flex Ltd, an American-Singaporean multinational manufacturing company headquartered in Austin, Texas. The attack, which occurred less than 20 miles from the border with both Hungary and Slovakia, resulted in injuries to at least 15 of the 600 workers at Flex.
