The driver of the vehicle required extraction by D.C. Fire and EMS, before being transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, the incident is under investigation by the D.C. National Guard.

A Russian “Shahed-132/136” One-Way Attack Drone crashed and exploded earlier today within a cornfield near the village of Osiny in Eastern Poland, over 50 miles from the border with both Belarus and Ukraine. The explosion thankfully resulted in only minor property damage and no injuries, with authorities confirming that the drone originated from Russia but had no visible markings denoting it as Russian. The cause of the fire, which began at roughly 1600 on August 20 while the ship was anchored off the coast of White Beach Naval Facility in Okinawa, Japan, is still unknown, with the fire being declared out at 0400 on August 21. Two sailors were treated onboard the New Orleans for minor injuries, with the crew expected to remain aboard the ship, though additional services and berthing are available aboard San Diego and Commander, Fleet Activities Okinawa.

Additional details have been released about Ukraine’s new domestically-produced long-range cruise missile, dubbed the FP-5 “Flamingo” which is manufactured by Fire Point. According to an interview with Chief Technical Officer Iryna Terekh, the “Flamingo” has entered serial production with the current capacity to produce one missile per day, with hopes to build roughly seven-per-day by October and enter mass production by January. The CTO of Fire Point also confirmed earlier reports that the missile has a maximum range of 3,000km with a 1,150kg warhead, much bigger than most average cruise missiles and easily able to strike a majority of air and other military bases throughout Russia.
