The release of this photo follows weeks of reports about “friction” between Trump and Gabbard, with her said to have been “sidelined” from planning strikes against Iran due to previous statements she had made publicly and to Congress about the Iranian nuclear program, some of which were seen to have contradicted others made by President Trump. This was made even stranger when none of the initial photos released of the Situation Room during the strike operation showed DNI Gabbard, with rumors that she was not there, though later reports would confirm that she was in the Situation Room with the President.
