U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer has denied the emergency motion filed earlier by the State of California and Governor Gavin Newsom, requesting an temporary restraining order to prevent the deployment of additional federal troops to Los Angeles, with Judge Breyer scheduling a hearing for Thursday, June 12.

Following the looting of at least 23 businesses last night alongside significant vandalism on both Sunday and Monday, Mayor Karen Bass has declared a local emergency as well as a curfew for a small area of Downtown Los Angeles. The curfew, which is expected to last several nights, is in place for a one-square mile area of downtown near city hall and the federal building from 8:00pm Tuesday until 6:00am Wednesday. “Law enforcement will arrest individuals who break the curfew, and you will be prosecuted,” said Mayor Bass.

A large group of demonstrators led by faith leaders are in a standoff with local and federal law enforcement, as well as the National Guard, outside of the federal building in Downtown Los Angeles, less than 10 minutes from the start of the curfew.

Downtown Los Angeles is now under curfew, as the standoff between demonstrators and law enforcement supported by the National Guard continues in front of the Federal Building.

Additional officers from the LAPD, LASD, and CHP have arrived over the last few minutes in Downtown Los Angeles, and appear to be preparing to make arrests for those violating the curfew ordered earlier by Mayor Bass.

Hundreds of police in riot-gear have surrounded and are beginning to advance on a group of several hundred demonstrators who remain in front of the Federal Building in Downtown Los Angeles, in violation of the curfew ordered earlier by Mayor Bass.

Police earlier managed to kettle and arrest most of the demonstrators who remained inside the curfew zone tonight near the Federal Building in Downtown Los Angeles, with most scattering after the dispersal order was given by the LAPD.

U.S. President Donald J. Trump claimed this morning in a post on Truth Social that a trade deal with China is “done” subject to final approval by himself and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Which includes China providing rare earth minerals to the United States in exchange for Chinese students being allowed to attend American colleges and universities, which he claims “HAS ALWAYS BEEN GOOD WITH ME!”

An unusual advisory has been released this morning by the U.K. Office of Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) for the Arabian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, and Straits of Hormuz, stating that they have been “made aware of increased tensions within the region which could lead to an escalation of military activity having a direct impact on mariners.”

According to U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM), the 700 Marines with the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division from Twentynine Palms, California are still carrying out training in the Greater Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, with the Spokesman for NORTHCOM stating the Marines “have not completed their [Standing Rules for the Use of Force] and nonlethal weapons training, and I do not have an estimate of when they will be employed by Task Force 51.”

Maj. Gen. Scott M. Sherman, the Commander of Task Force 51, stated today that the 700 Marines from Twentynine Palms are still undergoing training for their potential deployment to Los Angeles, adding that when deployed, the Marines would not be carrying live-ammunition in their M27 Infantry Automatic Rifles (IAR).
