And remember that Asia was by far the most effected by Iran's fuckery in the Strait of Hormuz, like...a lot, and especially CHIna, who also prior was the biggest hit via the Venzuela op, which killed their 'teapots' and destroyed market leverage they were doing via arbitrage. CHIna is not doing good, and are now almost entirely dependent on US oil, this is massive geopolitical change on the world stage, MASSIVE, CHIna is being neutered bigly!

So to expand on the above post, Hegseth just locked in the Major Defense Cooperation Partnership with Indonesia yesterday, and it's not some routine handshake, rather it's a formal upgrade via military modernization, heavy training, and operational coops right on the doorstep of the Strait of Malacca and Singapore Strait (I've actually navigated through this area, it's pirate central but i digress).

This is a big deal because the Malacca Strait is the single busiest oil chokepoint on the planet, carrying more volume than Hormuz. And more importantly it's China's #1 oil chokepoint, so a huge vulnerability for them if the US is now getting Chummy with Malaysia, especially in military ways. Roughly 80 percent of China's oil imports still have to squeeze through there, & now the US and Indonesia are stepping up exercises, interoperability, and practical cooperation in exactly that corridor.

Add this to the Venezuela op that already stripped away China's deep-discount arbitrage leverage for the teapots. Add the Hormuz mess that hammered Asian supplies hardest, and again CHIna was the hardest hit there as well. Add the broader pushback across the Western Hemisphere on BRI footholds, Panama, Cuba, fentanyl precursors, and every other play that carried Chinese fingerprints.

This is not one isolated move, it's the board getting secured chokepoint by chokepoint, leverage point by leverage point. China's old model of cheap sanctioned barrels, easy sea-lane tolerance, and unchecked influence ops is becoming unsustainable. They are being forced into a corner where the only realistic exit is major concessions, to us! Or they keep bleeding higher costs, squeezed margins, and shrinking strategic depth.

Trump is playing the long game at scale, the writing is not just on the wall anymore, it's flashing in bright lights across the Indo-Pacific and welp pretty much EVERYWHERE, he's bringing CHIna to heel, without a shot fired.
