The article presented Vitalik as a visionary building more than just another digital currency: a decentralized “world computer” powered by smart contracts, open participation, and code-based trust.

Long before DeFi, NFTs, rollups, and the broader Web3 movement, the idea was already clear: Ethereum could become a new foundation for the internet. Looking back today, the title feels almost prophetic.
