A new study released by Australian scientists suggest drinking two pints of beer a day may help cut the risk of developing dementia by up to 38% over those who don’t drink alcohol at all.

Analysis of over 25,000 over-60-year-olds found that tee-totallers and heavy drinkers were most likely to develop the condition. It is believed around 40g of alcohol per day may help prevent to build-up of toxic proteins linked to Alzheimer’s.
